EAR Butare Diocese The Diocese of Butare is one of the 13 dioceses of Anglican Church of Rwanda.

It oversees 139 local churches, organized into 32 parishes, which are further grouped into 6 Archdeaconries in 3 Districts Huye,Nyanza and Gisagara of South Province of Rwanda.

The leadership of EAR Butare Diocese regrets to inform the Bishops of EAR, all EAR Pastors, and all Christians that Rev. Kalisa Lambert, who was leading Shyembe Parish, passed away on 02/04/2026 after an illness.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Christians, his family, friends, and relatives 💔
