🌙 SEERAH OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ

Lesson 1 — His Birth & Noble Lineage

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in Makkah into the respected family of Banu Hashim, from the tribe of Quraysh.

His father was ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, and his mother was Aminah bint Wahb.

His father died before his birth, and therefore the Prophet ﷺ was born an orphan.

Allah reminds him:

> “Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter?”
Qur’an 93:6

He ﷺ was later entrusted in his early childhood to Halimah as-Sa‘diyyah رضي الله عنها, according to the custom of the people of Makkah.

The Prophet ﷺ belonged to a noble lineage. He said:

> “Indeed, Allah chose Kinānah from the children of Ismā‘īl, and He chose Quraysh from Kinānah, and He chose Banū Hāshim from Quraysh, and He chose me from Banū Hāshim.”
Sahih Muslim 2276

🤍 A beautiful lesson

The Prophet ﷺ experienced orphanhood and hardship from the beginning, yet Allah prepared him for the greatest mission.

Your difficult beginning does not determine your ending.

Allah can raise someone from hardship to an honour that the world could never imagine. 🌙
