This is not from Islam. This is from pre-Islamic Arabia.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) named Safar specifically in a hadith, placed it alongside two other false beliefs: that disease spreads on its own without Allah's permission, and that owls carry bad omens. All three. Rejected. By name. (Bukhari/Muslim)
The superstition survived. It changed clothes across different cultures and centuries. The ruling did not change.
If you have been avoiding marriages in Safar, delaying decisions, waiting for the month to pass, now you know. What happens in it was already decreed before you were born. May Allah protect us from what has no basis in the Quran and Sunnah.
