Love and Obedience
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in the heart" Prov. 3:1
God loves us, and as a Father He is jealous, He advises us to take heed to his teachings and put them into action. Today in our society we see sons who are rebels and who get no teaching from their parents, they end up practicing all that is evil, for them and for others, young people have died early due to lack of true teaching and the practice of it, you have parents who give all type of toys and forget to analyze if this toy will bring any benefit to their child. I still remember of toys we used to play in group, toys that teaches us to share (shuttle, stick, cardboard box etc.). In our generation we only hear about iPad, tablets, PSP and agressive video games used to intertain our children, and certain improper television programs that steal the innocence of a child. As caring parents we should pay attention to our actions and practices, and observe with what our children play and what they see, which values we are teaching, giving a slap thous not kill, correcting a child thous not make you a bad parent, saying NO to your children makes you a parent that worries about their education and character, a parent is not someone who sits on the couch only looking, a parent gives attention, He speaks and acts, plays hide and seek, teaches to make food and to help... A parent theaches his child to give love to those who need, above all he loves to teach his children and get them to know a spectacular God, a true parent talks about God's perfect love. Obedience and love, carrying for a child to have principles and values, for only God can teach us.
"And you shall teach them to your sons and shall talk of them sit in your house, walk by the way, and lying to you and when you rise up." Deuteronomy 6:7
May the Lord bless all families this Sunday.
