“He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe.
/////BREAK/////
Good morning!
May the peace of God be with you all.
As the State Chaplain, it is my duty to inform you of the passing into the Father’s Heavenly Home of our former State Chaplain, my friend and priest, Chaplain (COL) Father Alejandro Sánchez Muñoz. This news has come as a surprise to us all and serves as a reminder of the fragility of life.
His unexpected departure leaves behind a legacy of service, faith, commitment, and love for our Soldiers and their families. His impact will remain in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing him and serving alongside him.
We are united in the hope of the resurrection and in God’s promises, whom Father Alejandro loved and served faithfully as a priest. “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he may die, yet shall he live. And everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die.’” (John 11:25–26)
Let us join together in prayer for his mother, his brother Ivan, and his friends. Let us trust in the promises of Jesus for those who have faithfully served both our nation and God. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7–8)
As soon as information regarding the funeral services becomes available, we will share it with everyone.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
