✝️ 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗨𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗'𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

The Catholic Church has given us many sacramentals to nourish our faith and encourage us to remain close to Christ. Sacramentals do not work by magic or superstition. Rather, when used with faith and devotion, they dispose us to receive God's grace and remind us of His loving protection.

✝️ 𝟭. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗫

• The crucifix reminds us of Christ's saving sacrifice on the Cross.

• It encourages us to reject sin and follow Jesus faithfully.

• Many Catholics keep a blessed crucifix in their homes and carry one with them.

The Cross is our sign of hope and victory.

✝️ 𝟮. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗔𝗟

• The St. Benedict Medal is a powerful sacramental associated with prayers for protection against evil.

• It bears ancient Christian symbols and prayers of faith.

• It reminds us to place our trust in Christ, who has conquered sin and death.

Its power comes from Christ, not from the medal itself.

✝️ 𝟯. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗬

• The Rosary is one of the Church's greatest devotions.

• It helps us meditate on the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of Mary.

• It strengthens our faith and deepens our love for Christ.

The Rosary is a powerful school of prayer.

✝️ 𝟰. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗔𝗟

• Revealed to St. Catherine Labouré in 1830.

• It bears the prayer: "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee."

• It reminds us of Mary's loving intercession and God's abundant grace.

Wear it with faith and confidence in God's mercy.

✝️ 𝟱. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗥

• The Brown Scapular is a sign of devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

• It reminds us to imitate Mary's virtues and remain faithful to Christ.

• It is a call to live a life of prayer, purity, and discipleship.

It is a sign of commitment, not a guarantee of salvation.

✝️ 𝟲. 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥

• Holy water reminds us of our Baptism.

• Catholics use it when entering or leaving a church and in personal prayer.

• It is a sacramental that encourages repentance and trust in God's grace.

It calls us to live as children of God.

✝️ 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥

Sacramentals are sacred signs instituted by the Church to prepare us to receive God's grace and to sanctify the ordinary moments of life. They are not magical objects or lucky charms. Their fruitfulness depends on our faith, prayer, and openness to God's will.

May these holy sacramentals draw us ever closer to Jesus Christ and strengthen us in our daily walk of faith.

"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11)

Mercy changes the way we see people. When we remember how gently God has loved us, it becomes a little easier to offer that same grace to others. Today, may your words be kind, your heart be compassionate, and your life reflect the mercy you've received.

If you'd like more moments of quiet encouragement throughout your week, we'd love to have you join our free weekly devotional and peaceful worship playlists. They're created to help you slow down, rest in God's presence, and be reminded of His unfailing grace one day at a time. You'll find both linked in our bio.

Celebrating the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle at the Parish - “My Lord and my God” he has given us the words we will use in our lifetime.

From skepticism to faith, St. Thomas is the Patron Saint of Architects, Builders and those struggling with faith during difficult times. His symbol is that of a spear and a carpenter’s square.

Known also as Doubting Thomas, his name is from the Aramaic word meaning “The Twin”. Isn’t he our twin in our faith ?
