Hello friends, Great News ! 🤣 1. The international community in Szczecin is growing. 2. This means that not only are there more chances to meet friends from around the world, but there are 2 different places where you can meet and experience the Christian community together. 😎
We have some changes in the location, but what hasn't changed is
- our love for food,
- friends from around the world,
- a fun, inviting atmosphere
- and our passion for fellowship with others who are open to know more about what it means to be a follower of Christ. In the Fall, we are hoping to kick off the 2nd venue where you can connect with other people from around the world. Please feel free to call or email with questions.

Discipleship and Bigos. -- Let's be brutally honest for a minute. Bacon makes everything better. It's one of lifes greatest foods. Just think of your top 5 favorite foods. For me it's grilled steak, bacon, spinach, French Toast, and raspberries. Now, keep your top 5 favorite foods and now let's look honestly at Discipleship. Countless Christians talk about discipleship - how important it is - and even say how they discipled someone but the reality is that this is like taking 10 great foods and putting them into a huge pot and calling it Bigos. [For those who don't know- Bigos is a classic Traditional Polish dish, and it's wonderful - it's part of our Christmas dinner every year. It's usually translated as Hunter's Stew and contained wild game, such as deer and boar.] 40 Million Poles don't agree on anything, but every Polish person above age 8 knows that's not Bigos. We can have a conversation where we agree that certain foods are great, but that doesn't make bigos or lasagne. The biblical model of discipleship is 2 Timothy 2:1-2. Teaching /entrusting the teachings of Christ to faithful men who will teach OTHERS. Many churches and ministries are knowledge based - learn these twelve facts and memorize these 10 verses and you get a certificate that you completed discipleship. The problem is that discipleship is not a stage or level you achieve - it's a lifelong journey of investing in others. It's OK to say you taught someone about honesty, or moral purity, or prayer, or fasting. In fact it's great. - Those top 5 foods are great, but it's not Bigos and it's not discipleship -- It's something else. When we talk about discipleship -- the ingredients might be different - like Bigos, but the common denominator is not the What - but Whom? Whom are you teaching -- Who is your Timothy? If you can't answer this question - then it's something - but not Discipleship. www.vimeo.com/151221680

We just had our 7th, Annual International Christmas party!!! ;-) Lots of food, and friends from all over the world -- Germany, Equador, England, India, Tunisia, Brazil, Denmark, Bulgaria, USA, Poland, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sweden and New Zealand.
We sang traditional carols in Polish and English and had a wonderful surprise - the Jazz ensemble from the Szczecin Fine Arts Academy came and sang some great hits.
The central message of Christmas -- Oh Come all Ye Faithless.
Christ came not for the Faithful, but for the Faithless- He came for the skeptic, the broken, the poor, so that we might be Faithful- Joyful and Triumphant.
