What a week it's been! Six working days, 31 pallets of food and a palette of medicines. 18 tons of supplies going to Kharkiv!

The whole truth about the truck! You can't hear that on TV!
It began when a friend of mine from USA called me asking if $30,000 for two buses to Ukraine was a lot of money. I said to her: 'Listen, send me $30,000, I'm packing up right now and going with Sawa to Kharkiv' 😂'Okay, Michał, what can you do with few thousands dollars?'🧐
The same morning at the meeting with local leaders I met Andrzej who is Ukrainian. So I asked him, how long will it take to arrange the transport to Kharkiv? 2-3 days. Sounds possible, let's move on!😎
All right, then. How much money does a truck full of food cost? I got a list of supplies from Kharkiv, so I called the wholesaler:
- Here's the wholesaler, how can I help you?
- Good morning, we're arranging a humanitarian transport to Kharkiv. I need some canned food, pasta, buckwheat groats, […], toilet paper and soap.
- Great, sir, from the beginning. How much pasta?
- I don't know? A palett? Two pallets?
Well, you have to estimate! 😁The preliminary arrangements showed that it could take 100 - 150 thousands depending on the content.
All right, so where do we get cheap meds? We're calling Michał Grzanka from Przymierza. Not only did he explain to Edyta what was going on, but he practically yelled at her:
- I'm in contact with the Bishop of Kharkiv, don't send only the half of the truck, they need supplies! Let Michał buy whatever he can, there will be money! Give me a few hours, I'll see what I can do.
All is good!
The best part was when Shawn texted me. Who's Shawn, will you ask? The story is like that:
- Hey, Michał, it's Shawn, John's friend. Are you bringing supplies to Ukraine?
- Hey, Shawn, the check-out is in two or three days. But who is John?
In short, Shawn flew to Poland for 2 days, added some money for shopping and gave a satellite phone to his friends in Kharkiv. My hero! 💪
In total, we spent 5 working days ⛑on this transport. A day to deal with the situation, two days to find, choose and order a cheap assortment, a day to shop (I could not believe it myself) and a day to pack the truck. I only hope that I will be able to pay the bill for connections with Ukraine. 👀
The truck is on its way - somewhere in Ukraine. We do not know where and which way it is going, because road blocks appear and disappear every several hours. 🙈
I forgot to tell that we sent by the way supplies for Brother Maciej Styburski from Szkoła Życia Chrześcijańskiego who receives dozens of people going to Poland every day for an overnight stay at the Parish of the Heart of Jesus in Krasilów. But I don't know if it will come, because it may not be on the way.
Now the question for you! We can send a second, third and fourth truck, because we already know how.
We need money for this. So we are looking for people with rich hearts who would like to spend their money on this type of help. Why Kharkiv? Because it's VERY difficult to get there and hardly anyone goes in that direction.
What can you do? You can pay PLN 10, PLN 100, PLN 500, PLN 5,000, PLN 50,000, PLN 100,000. We will use smaller amounts to help Ukrainians on the spot and larger amounts to buy supplies to Kharkiv.
