Sunday Sermon Recap | 2 August 2026 | Gospel Church Gdańsk
Sermon: Pastor Clint Kirby
Title: Don't Forget the Bread
This Sunday, Pastor Clint brought a sharp and timely reminder about "spiritual amnesia", how easily we forget God’s past faithfulness the moment a new challenge appears.
Walking through Matthew 14, 15, and 16, we saw a pattern with the disciples. In Matthew 14, Jesus fed over 5,000 people with leftovers to spare. Yet in Matthew 15, when faced with a similar need, the disciples panicked again. By Matthew 16, when they forgot to bring bread, Jesus corrected them: "O ye of little faith."
The issue was never about the physical bread; it was about forgetting what God had already done.
How often do we do the same? God answers prayers, opens doors, and provides in impossible situations, yet when a new "not enough" moment arrives, we act as if we've never seen His power.
We were encouraged not to settle for a "right now faith" that only works when things are smooth, but to build a remembering faith, one that looks back and says, "God did it before, and He can do it again."
In the middle of busy summer schedules, make intentional space for quiet time, prayer, and reflection. Keep your heart anchored in His presence and don't forget the miracles He has already worked in your life. 💚
