Condemnation of the Attack on Pastor Shehzad
We strongly condemn the brutal attack on Pastor Shehzad, an innocent and dedicated servant of the Christian community in Pakistan. This cowardly act of violence is not only an assault on an individual but an attack on the values of peace, tolerance, and religious freedom that are fundamental to any society. Such acts of extremism threaten the unity and harmony of our nation, as they seek to divide us along religious lines.
Pastor Shehzad's unwavering commitment to faith and service to the community should be celebrated, not met with violence. We stand in solidarity with him and all those who are oppressed for their beliefs, and we call upon the authorities to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are swiftly brought to justice.
We also urge all citizens to reject hatred and violence and instead promote respect, understanding, and coexistence across all communities, regardless of faith.

Protection of Christians in Pakistan
In light of ongoing threats and attacks against religious minorities, it is crucial that the rights of Christians in Pakistan be fully protected. Christians, like all citizens, have the right to live in safety, practice their faith freely, and contribute to society without fear of persecution or discrimination. The state must take immediate and sustained action to safeguard the lives of its Christian population and ensure that their places of worship, homes, and communities are secure.
We call upon the government to implement stronger legal protections for religious minorities, create an environment of tolerance, and hold accountable those who perpetrate violence against them. It is essential that law enforcement agencies act swiftly to investigate and prosecute those responsible for religiously motivated violence, and that they take preventive measures to address rising tensions.
Religious freedom is a fundamental human right that must be upheld for every Pakistani, regardless of their faith. In building a peaceful, pluralistic society, we must ensure that Christians and all religious minorities are able to live their lives in dignity and without fear.
