† With the Blessings of His Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Mission in Pakistan was established in 2012. The First ROCOR Missionary priest who came to Pakistan was Rev.Fr.Adrian Augustus. He preached the holy orthodoxy and Baptized and Chrismated 174 people.The Russian Orthodox Church in Pakistan has spiritual and canonical union with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Fr,Joseph Farooq is the only canonical priest of Russian Orthodox Church in Pakistan. As Pakistan is facing external and internal terror and its masses are suffering due to uncertain social and political circumstances.In these circumstances the St. Michael the Arch Angel Orthodox Mission is caring the spiritual need of the people by celebrating regular Divine Liturgy and orthodox community gets strength by receiving the Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Besides this they are taught holy orthodoxy to strengthen their faith so that they become patient, humble, and tolerant and steadfastness. Fr.Joseph is preaching the Gospel and holy orthodoxy very diligently going from door to door. ROCOR Mission in Pakistan:

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas, the parishioners of Saint Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church in Pakistan attended the Divine Liturgy with true devotion and passion.

The Russian Orthodox Church commemorates all saints who have glorified God through their holy lives and deeds in Russia.

Father Joseph Farooq told the faithful that, the commemoration honors both formally canonized saints and those whose pious lives are known to God, even if their names remain unrecorded. It highlights the profound impact of Orthodox Christianity in Russia, celebrating the countless individuals who have enriched its spiritual heritage.
These holy saints remained steadfast in all circumstances, serving as great defenders of the Orthodox Church and Faith in Russia.

☦️ *Sunday of the Holy Trinity:
After the Divine Liturgy, on 31 May, 2026
Fr. Joseph Farooq preached a homily on “The Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity and the Feast of Pentecost.”

He reminded the faithful that the Mystery of the Holy Trinity is the central doctrine of the faith in the Eastern Orthodox Church. God is One in essence and Three in Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — co-equal, co-eternal, and undivided.

Fr. Joseph Farooq also taught that the Holy Church has revealed to us the great mystery of our redemption and our union with God, accomplished through the Incarnation, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

He further noted that the Holy Fathers of the Seven Ecumenical Councils are the true defenders and interpreters of our Orthodox Faith and the Sacred Traditions.
Every Divine Liturgy we confess this same faith in the Nicene-Creed.

☦️The prophet names the Messiah as God and Man, Teacher of all the nations, Founder of the Kingdom of Peace and Love.
☦️The prophet foretells the Birth of the Messiah from a Virgin, and with particular clearness he describes the Suffering of the Messiah for the sins of the world.
☦️He foresees His Resurrection and the universal spreading of His Church.
☦️By his clear foretelling about Christ the Saviour, the Prophet Isaiah merited being called an Old Testament Evangelist.
