Junior Idol – Audition Report
On 21st March 2026, the auditions for Junior Idol were conducted for children who had been shortlisted from various areas during the pre-audition phase.
This wonderful initiative was taken by Rev. Fr. David John (Parish Priest) in response to the Diocesan announcement declaring 2026 as the “Year of Children.” The pre-auditions were conducted by Rev. Fr. Ashir Tanveer, Daud Ghouri, and Faiz Yousaf, through which a total of 90 children were selected for the main auditions.
The audition day witnessed a large gathering of children, parents, and Catechism School teachers. Every child was excited and well-prepared to showcase their talent. The program began with a prayer, followed by the introduction of the judges:
1. Rev. Fr. Ashir Tanveer
2. Mathew Anwar
3. Nayyar Saeed
The auditions commenced with a melodious recitation by Rev. Fr. Ashir Tanveer, setting a spiritual and inspiring tone for the event. Each child then performed with great enthusiasm, presenting their talents in praise of Jesus Christ.
The Catechism School teachers and catechists played a vital role in organizing and supporting the participants throughout the event. Towards the end of the session, many children continued to sing and perform while awaiting the final results, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere.
Out of all the participants, 40 children were selected for the next round, which is scheduled to take place next month.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. David John (Parish Priest) for this remarkable initiative and to Rev. Fr. Ashir Tanveer for his dedication and active involvement in making this event successful. We also thank the judges, hosts, Catechism School teachers, catechists, and the media team for their valuable contributions and coverage.
