CHURCH BASE
PFK is based on exact church picture given by the Apostles in the book of Acts in the New Testament. PFK family practices church values lead by those early churches “They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, sharing in the Lord’s Supper and in prayer.” We do not make members but disciples filled with the love of Christ taking
care of each other as one loving family. OUR BELIEF
We believe that Jesus is the Lord and man can only built up relationship with God through Jesus Christ. So we teach that Christianity is not just a bundle of religious customs but it is based on true relationship with Jesus Christ. When a believer reads the Word of God and keeps companionship with the people of God, this relationship grows deeper and stronger. We stress that Church is a body of Christ meaning that people saved by the blood of the Christ who are built on the foundation of the Apostles and the Prophets, cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carrying on the mission of Messiah. We want to build and reinstate Churches on New Testament Church values. Nowadays God is pouring His Spirit onto men and women to make them newborn persons and to engage them in living relationship by reinstating them and providing them freedom of His Grace. We are ready to serve such people who are gathered by God to make them personalities reflecting New Testament Church values through their lives. Plus people who can serve as disciples to promote all Church Ministries, eventually becomes leaders by making disciples to reach other nations. iii. OUR VISION
PFK has a very unique vision as compare to other churches serving in Pakistan:
a) Strengthening Pakistan:
As Christians and true disciples of Jesus Christ, it is our prime responsibility to pray for the peace and prosperity of our country. Fact is that we are nothing without Pakistan. So we teach our children to pray every day for our beloved country in cell group meetings and on main Sunday meetings. We hang the flag of Pakistan during our prayer meetings in every PFK Church, not to showoff to others but to make everyone remember who walks through the doors that we have huge responsibility on our shoulders not only to pray but to uplift the damaged image of our country by our deeds and thoughts. I have learned from my spiritual leaders Mr. Terry Virgo and Mr. David Devenish from New Frontiers, that the Bible tells us to pray daily for country you live in as God has reasons for keeping us in that country. As Christians we must believe and obey what Bible tells us. b) Interfaith Harmony:
Yes it is very difficult to forget and forgive the sufferings and pain that we have to bear being a minority in Pakistan, but at this moment when Pakistan is going through critical circumstances and facing serious allegations from all parts of the world, we need to forget our individual sufferings and start to think as a nation. In this atmosphere of uncertainty we need to trust each other and build up strong relationship with our Muslim brothers and sisters and all other denominations in Pakistan, in order to crush those few individuals who have influenced us for past several years creating environment of hatred among the people of Pakistan. Our country needs us and we have to put all our personal feelings behind and join hands to become a family, a nation, a force that could put back our country on the right track. c) Reaching the Nations:
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I had been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the Nations, baptizing them in the name of Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:18-19
In order to fulfill this great commission we need to reach out the Nations. But we cannot do this until we have good strong relationship with other nations. So as a first step to start working on this great commission, what we need to do is stretch out our hands and shake it with other nations, as we are called by God to stretch out His blessings to every human being living on this earth regardless of religion, cast and creed. d) Making Disciples:
Bible tells us to “go and make disciples of all the Nations” therefore we do not make members at our churches but disciples. This is the sole of our growth and it also help people to grow deepen in Christ. This enables them to understand the love, salvation and freedom of Grace and leads them to a very healthy spiritual life. PFK trains people by sending them out to take meetings in cell groups, which helps them gain confidence in preaching the Gospel, becoming outstanding evangelists and worshipers. It also helps church to grow stronger and help the leaders to run church smoothly. e) Training Leaders:
Very important element of Church is to give birth to genuine leaders that could go out and spread the good news of the Gospel to each and every part of the world. Bible tells us how the Gospel was spread by persecuted and scattered disciples of Jesus Christ. It also tells us about the gifts of the Holy Spirit a living church should have. It is one of the most essential elements of a living church based on New Testament Church values. PFK is one of the leading institutes in Pakistan producing well disciplined leaders, Pastors, teachers and Evangelists working under the leadership as disciples. The Holy Spirit keeps developing leadership qualities thus transforming them into better disciples who could assist their top leadership in smooth running and fruitful church life. As Leaders it is their responsibility to teach & classify people in the church given under their supervision to prepare them for God. Being Pastors they teach people with love and affection moreover rebuke them for correction. We do all this as we are working under a vision in which every person should be brought to "Spiritual Maturity" where he/she are able to fulfill the will of God. f) Restoring Churches:
PFK is the only church in Pakistan which does not believe in customs and culture. Unfortunately like many other churches in the world, several churches in Pakistan also suffered great loss due to the environment of hatred and dissatisfaction among church leaders. As per teaching from our Church leaders from New Frontiers, we disengage ourselves and avoid preaching against any other church. We believe it to be part of Christ’s body, each of them of equal importance and help them to function properly by whatever means required. Since PFK was founded, we have been struggling to unite all churches of different denominations within our locality and by the Grace of God; we have been able to achieve our goal to some extent. Today, all church leaders from our local and surrounding localities get together at least once in three months to talk, discuss and eliminate any misunderstandings they might have, plus to discuss common difficulties faced by different churches. This helps all of us to find better solutions to our common problems and also helps us to grow in love and unity in Christ. Mutahida Masihi Forum (United Christian Forum) was founded by Founder/Chairman PFK, Pastor Pervez Sohail and Vicar General of Catholic Church Father Jacob Joseph Dogra is the Chairman. Church Leaders of all denominations from Rawalpindi/Islamabad are members of this Forum. United Christian Convention held in the month of September every year is organized through this forum in which people from all local churches participates. g) Church Planting:
We learn from the Bible that Disciples of Christ were scattered after their persecutions. But this doesn’t stop the church plantings but in fact it increased it dramatically mainly because wherever the Disciples went they preached the Gospel and people joined them rapidly. They planted churches in various parts and moved onto the next targets. PFK has planted six churches in just 11 years. There are many others willing to join PFK family of Churches but we strictly obey the biblical way of church planting which is through Apostolic and Prophetic words, giving them the stronger foundation, cornerstone of which is Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
