A free physiotherapy camp was successfully organized at the head office of RAHMA Islamic Relief in collaboration with Al Zahra Physiotherapy Clinic Gujrat. The camp included free physiotherapy consultations, posture and pain assessments, blood pressure check ups, and sugar tests for staff members.

Maternal mortality remains one of the most critical public health concerns in Pakistan. Many mothers lose their lives due to complications such as excessive bleeding, infections, high blood pressure, anemia, malnutrition, and delayed medical care during pregnancy and childbirth. Newborn children also face serious risks including premature birth, infections, malnutrition, pneumonia, and lack of timely vaccination and neonatal care.

Rural regions of South Punjab are among the most vulnerable, where distance from hospitals, poor transportation, and limited maternal healthcare services increase the suffering of women and children.

Since 2010, RAHMA Islamic Relief Pakistan has remained committed to improving the health and well-being of mothers and children living in underserved and remote communities across Pakistan. According to UNICEF data, Pakistan still faces a high burden of maternal and child mortality, with under-five mortality estimated at 56 deaths per 1,000 live births.

In response to these challenges, RAHMA Islamic Relief Pakistan has continuously worked to provide healthcare support for deserving families, especially women, mothers, and children in rural and neglected areas. The inauguration of this newly established Mother & Child Health Center reflects RAHMA’s dedication to ensuring safe motherhood, healthy childhood, and dignified healthcare access for vulnerable communities.
