دُوسرے دِن بہر سے لوگوں نے جو عِید میں آئے تھے یہ سُن کر کہ یِسُوع یروشلِیم میں آتا ہے۔
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
کھجُور کی ڈالِیاں لیں اور اُس کے اِستقبال کو نِکل کر پُکارنے لگے کہ ہوشعنا! مُبارک ہے وہ جو خُداوند کے نام پر آتا اور اِسرائیل کا بادشاہ ہے۔
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
جب یِسُوع کو گدھے کا بچہّ مِلا تو اُس پر سوار ہُؤا جَیسا کہ لِکھا ہے کہ ۔
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
اَے صُِیّوں کی بیٹی مَت ڈر۔ دیکھ تیرا بادشاہ گدھے کے بچہّ پر سوار ہُؤا آتا ہے۔
Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's c**t.
اُس کے شاگِرد پہلے تو یہ باتیں نہ سَمَجھے لیکِن جب یِسُوع اپنے جلال کو پہُنچا تو اُن کو یاد آیا کہ یہ باتیں اُس کے حق میں لکِھی ہُوئی تھِیں اور لوگوں نے اُس کے ساتھ یہ سُلوک کِیا تھا۔
These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
