When we became Christians, we all received the indwelling of the Spirit. In turn, we need to feed that Spirit. Without it, we could not function. The quantity and quality of food that we put into our bodies determines how well we will grow..it gives us strength, energy, stamina, clarity of thought, and everything else our bodies' need on a daily basis. Plants also require food. They take nutrients
from the soil. These nutrients cause the plant to grow and thrive..they strengthen its leaves and branches and allow it to produce fruit. The richer the soil, the heartier the plant will be and the fruit it produces will be more plentiful and of a higher quality. The same is true of the Spirit that dwells within us. To grow..to become stronger..heartier..more 'in control' of our lives..to produce quality fruit..the Spirit requires nourishment..and this nourishment is the word of God!
