Principle if you want to achieve effective results through religious prayer.
1) There must be a special desire.
Specific desire is the most important part of religious prayer. Jesus said: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe what he saith. They will be fulfilled. He will receive whatever he says ”(Mark 11:23).
When we pray, Jesus emphasizes the need for specificity of desire. Notice in the words above that he did not say, "Whoever speaks to a mountain", but "Whoever speaks to that mountain." Thus, in the prayer of faith, it is very important that you have a clear and specific desire in your heart. You can't be vague in your conversations. You can follow God's Word with simplicity and faith and always expect results.
If you are a pastor, for example, and you want to double the size of your church membership, you need to know the exact number of people in the church right now. So if you have a fifty-member party at the moment, it means you are expecting a hundred members at a given time. That's what it means to be specific! Or maybe, you just want to increase your finances. Then you should ask questions like what is my average annual income currently? How much more do I want to receive in the coming year?
Quality is an important principle if you want to achieve effective results through religious prayer. Remember, Jesus said, "Whatever the mountain says." That means you are not talking about the mountain or asking God to try to do something about the mountain. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people.
How do you see the unseen? Through the eyes of faith!
2) See the unseen.
Here is another important principle to observe in connection with the prayer of faith. You have to see the unseen! You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people.
How do you see the unseen? Through the eyes of faith! Because you don't have what you can't see.
"When we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18)
Abraham, the great patron saint of old, had to witness God's promise to become the father of many nations. And He (Abraham) brought him (Abraham) abroad and said, "Now look at the sky, and tell the stars, if you can count them," and he said to him, "You will be a descendant." He believed in the Lord and counted him for righteousness "(Genesis 15: 5-6).
When Joshua planned to attack Jericho, the Lord said to him, "Look, I have given Jericho, and its king, and the mighty men into your hand" (Joshua 6: 2). Shows how important it is to create a mental image according to our desires. And here's the ultimate reason: the limit of your vision is the limit of your blessing!
I like the testimony of Dr. David Yong Cho. He tells the story that, many years ago, when he had just started a ministry and was running a small church, he asked God to give him a chair, a table, and a bicycle. But God asked him what kind of chair, table, and bicycle he wanted, and he gave God his explanations.
Realizing that he had received it, he appeared before his congregation on Sunday morning and announced, "Praise God, I have a chair, a table, and a bicycle."
Its members, young Christians who were just beginning to learn the Word of God, asked incredulously, "But you went to church today. Where is the bicycle?"
Of course, he had nothing to show his members, but he claimed to have everything he mentioned. So after the service that day, some of its members decided to go home with him and find out if he really had those things.
Upon arriving at his house and finding none of them, they asked him, "Where are the chair, table, and bicycle?"
"They are inside me," he replied. "I'm pregnant with a chair, a table, and a bicycle!"
Its members had to hold their stomachs for laughter, and they walked around saying to the people, "Let's meet our pastor. She's pregnant with a chair, a table, and a bicycle! Have they ever seen anyone like that?" Pastor Cho could actually see the existence of these things. He had seen the unseen through the eyes of faith. I became a reality.
Understand this: "Seeing the unseen" is not the same as "being optimistic". It literally means "seeing God as He sees them, and talking about the non-existent as if they already exist."
In his letter to the Roman Church, Paul shared some instructive things about the faith by God:
"... even God, who raises the dead, and cries out to them as if they were not" (Romans 4:17).
When you are so convinced that something is yours, even if you do not see it with your physical eyes, it is absolutely impossible for the devil or anyone to talk to him, because you already believe it. Have gained from, using the power of their thinking.
