The Family Who Chose Christ
In a small village, there lived a Christian family—Daniel, his wife Mary, and their two children, Samuel and Grace. They were not rich, but their home was filled with prayer, love, and faith in Jesus Christ.
Every evening, the family gathered together. Daniel would open the Bible and say, “We may lose everything in this world, but we must never lose our faith in Jesus.”**
One day, soldiers came to the village and ordered the Christians to deny Jesus Christ. They promised them freedom, money, and safety if they would turn away from their faith.
Daniel looked at his family. Mary held the children's hands.
Daniel quietly said, **“Our lives belong to Christ. We cannot deny the One who gave His life for us.”**
The soldiers threatened them, but the family remained together and prayed.
Samuel, though young, said, “Father, I am not afraid. Jesus is with us.”
Grace added, “We will always love Jesus.”
The family faced persecution together, refusing to deny their Lord. Their courage became a testimony to everyone who witnessed their faith.
Before the end, Daniel prayed:
“Lord Jesus, receive our lives. Give us strength to remain faithful until the end. May our sacrifice bring others closer to You.”
Their earthly lives ended, but their faith did not.
The story of their courage spread throughout the village. Many people who had been afraid began asking, “What kind of faith gives a family such courage?”
And Christians answered:
“It is faith in Jesus Christ—the One who gave His life for us.”
Bible Verse
“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”
>— Revelation 2:10
