Are We Truly of Christ — or Just of Denominations?
Are we not of Christ?
Yet today, sadly, many believers no longer identify themselves primarily as followers of Jesus Christ, but as members of different Denominations.
Some say, “I am Catholic.”
Some say, “I am Protestant.”
Some say, “I am Baptist.”
Some say, “I am Only Jesus.”
In this way, the Body of Christ has been divided into labels and camps.
This problem is not new. The Bible clearly addresses it:
1 Corinthians 1:12
“One of you says, ‘I follow Paul’; another, ‘I follow Apollos’; another, ‘I follow Cephas’; still another, ‘I follow Christ.’”
Division in the Church Is an Old Strategy of Satan
Satan has been planting division, confusion, and pride in the Church from the very beginning.
He succeeds especially when believers do not personally read and study the Word of God (Bible).
Many believers:
Do not read the Scripture for themselves
Do not test teachings with the Bible
Simply follow whatever direction a Pastor, Leader, or Church system places before them
They do not ask:
Is this teaching Biblical?
Is it Christ-centered?
Is it leading me toward Salvation and Eternal Life?
Instead, they walk blindly—and later argue with other believers, saying:
“My Church is right, and yours is wrong.”
Are We Trapped Inside a Denomination?
Today, I ask you honestly:
Do you personally read the Bible?
Or do you only say, “This is what my Church teaches”?
Have you ever argued with a fellow Christian saying,
“My Church is correct, and yours is false”?
If so, it is time for self-examination.
What Is the True Measure of a Church?
If a Church:
Preaches something other than Christ as its center
Elevates human traditions above the Word of God
Adds personal interpretations that contradict Scripture
Then we must:
Open our spiritual eyes
Remove the veil that Satan has placed over our understanding
Ask yourself:
Is this Church built on the Bible?
Is it leading me closer to Jesus Christ?
Is my faith growing here?
Is spiritual fruit visible in my life?
If the answer is no, then loyalty without truth is not faith—it is bo***ge.
Paul, Apollos, and Peter — Where Was the Real Problem?
The believers in Corinth were divided:
Some said, “We belong to Apollos.”
Some said, “We belong to Paul.”
Some said, “We belong to Peter.”
But Paul the Apostle made it clear:
Paul, Apollos, and Peter were all servants of God
They preached one Gospel
They pointed to one Lord
The problem was not the servants.
The problem was people replacing Christ with human leaders.
Whom Should We Follow?
We are not called to follow:
Human personalities
Famous names
Institutions or systems
We are called to follow:
👉 Jesus Christ alone
Leaders are sent by God, but if any leader says:
“Only I am right”
“All others are wrong”
“My Church alone is the true Church”
Then discernment is required.
Our Identity Must Be in Christ
We do not prove our faith by:
Words, Arguments, Church labels, We prove it by: Character,Love, Christ-like living
My conviction is this:
Your Church may be any
Your Denomination may be any
But your identity must be this:
“I do not belong to a Church,
I do not belong to a Denomination,
I do not belong to an institution—
I belong to Christ.
I am a Christian.”
Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
