in 1947 like other Muslims, Khoja SHIA ISNA ASHARI Community too migrated to Pakistan specially Karachi as it was Capital of Pakistan and a great place to settle. Nearly all Khojas from various cities of India viz Bhavnagar ,Jamnagar, Mahua, Ahmedabad etc came and settled in Kharadar, Musa Lane and Bihar Colony, and started establishing Imambargahs for their own convenience and control like mehfil
e Jafferi by Mahua and Bhavnagri Orign, Mehfile AbulFazil Abbas and Mohammedi Welfare Society By Katchi People and Hussaini Tabboot Committee by Jamnagri and Halari Community. By 1980 and onward community people started moving to other places like Soldier bazaar, PECHS and Defence areas and gradually Kharadar which is now called as Old City area became of very low population of our community though all the Imambargahs mentioned above are still there having less activities. Though it is worth mentioning that KHOJA JAMA MASJID is there where daily and Friday Namaaz is held and still many processions are taken out in Kharadar area. Hussaini Taboot Committee was established In around 1953 when founders felt that they should prepare a Taazia and that should be taken out along with a procession of 9th Moharram and 10th Moharram (ASHOORA) and in the evening the Taazia were made drowned in Ocean(Natty Jetty). After some time elders advised not to put Taazia in sea and instead should be donated to any of Imambargahs who would keep them for ziarat and for preaching in Sindh areas. The idea was welcomed and it is followed till today. Alhamdollilah it became a great source of preaching. And as much as 70 to 80 TAAZIAS have been donated to many Imambargahs in Karachi as well as in Sindh where our community is living in very poor situation. They have lack of Education both of Deen and Dunya, They are very religious in manner to keep Tazia in good condition. Hussaini Taboot Committee hold weekly Majaalis for Gents and Ladies, Jasahan on every Wiladat and Majlis on every Shahadat Nights, Niaze Imam Jaffare Sadiq a.s is held on 22nd Rajab, Thali for Janabe Sayyada Zahra s.a is held on 20th Jammadus Sani and Dars (lectures) are held through out Mahe Ramadhan for Ladies and Gents both.Faqa Kashi(Ashoora), Ziarat Niaz and Chehlum Niaz for about 2500 person Is held.at Husaini Taboot Committee.
