Celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (A.S)

On this blessed day, the 13th of Rajab, we commemorate the birth anniversary of one of the greatest personalities in Islamic history, Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (A.S), the Commander of the Faithful.

Born inside the holy Kaaba, Imam Ali's birth was a miraculous event that signified his divine status. From his childhood under the guardianship of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to his unparalleled bravery, wisdom, and justice, Imam Ali's life remains a shining example of true faith and leadership.

He was the first to accept Islam, the loyal companion of the Prophet, and a beacon of guidance for all believers. Known for his courage on the battlefield and compassion for the oppressed, Imam Ali combined strength with humility and intellect with spirituality.

His teachings, such as those in Nahjul Balagha, continue to inspire millions worldwide, emphasizing justice, equality, and devotion to Allah.

Let us honor this day by reflecting on Imam Ali's values and striving to embody his teachings in our lives.

As the grandfather of Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain, he holds an honored place in the Ahl al-Bayt lineage. Eid e Mubahila Mubarak

On this day, Prophet Muhammad (saww) and the Christian delegations from Najran, came together in order to do a 'mubahila' (a confrontation whereby God's curse is invoked on whichever side holds false beliefs), to reveal who amongst them is truthful, and who is lying about their religious differences concerning divinity and monotheism.

The Christians had accepted this challenge, but refused to proceed upon witnessing that the Holy Prophet (saww) came with his pure progeny - his daughter, Sayeda Fatima al-Zahra (as), his son-in-law, Imam Ali (as), his grandsons, Imam Hassan (as) and Imam Hussain (as). They represented the 'women', 'self'", and 'sons' of the Holy Prophet (saww).

This event is mentioned in Surah Ale 'Imran, verse 61.
