📢 UNIVERSITY OF KARACHI: IMPORTANT UPDATE 📢

The University of Karachi has officially announced that it will remain closed on Thursday, 05 February 2026, in observance of "Kashmir Solidarity Day".

📝 Key Details from the Notification:

University Status: Closed on February 5th, 2026.
Examinations: All exams scheduled for this date have been postponed.
New Schedule: Revised dates for the postponed exams will be announced later by the Controller of Examinations.
Authority: Issued with the approval of the Vice Chancellor.

University of Karachi has announced admissions for ADA, ADC, and ADS (First Year) for the 2025–26 session will start after the declaration of BIEK Intermediate results. Admission forms will be available from 20 January 2026, the last date to submit forms and fee is 10 February 2026, classes will begin on 11 February 2026, and enrolment will close on 20 February 2026. Annual Exams 2026 will be held under the Bi-Annual Syllabus System.

📢 A Serious Issue Faced by University Students

Students from multiple departments of the University of Karachi—especially First Year students (Batch 2026)—are facing a major daily challenge related to university transport points.

During departure hours, there is extreme overcrowding, limited seating, and an unfair practice of reserving seats by placing bags early in the morning, even when the student is not present. As a result, students who arrive after 12:30 PM often find all seats occupied and are forced to stand for long journeys.
This situation causes physical exhaustion and mental stress, particularly for new students. The issue is not limited to one department—it affects students across the entire university.

We respectfully urge the University Administration to: ✔️ Increase the number of transport points
✔️ Expand seating capacity
✔️ Stop the practice of reserving seats with bags
These steps will ensure fairness, comfort, and safety for all students.

📢 یونیورسٹی طلبہ کا ایک سنجیدہ اور مشترکہ مسئلہ

خصوصاً فرسٹ ایئر (بیچ 2026) سمیت کراچی یونیورسٹی کے مختلف ڈیپارٹمنٹس کے طلبہ کو روزانہ ایک بڑے مسئلے کا سامنا ہے۔ چھٹی کے اوقات میں یونیورسٹی پوائنٹس پر شدید رش، محدود نشستیں، اور بیگ رکھ کر جگہ محفوظ کرنے کا غیر منصفانہ نظام طلبہ کے لیے شدید ذہنی دباؤ اور جسمانی تھکن کا باعث بن رہا ہے۔

دوپہر کے بعد آنے والے طلبہ کو اکثر کھڑا سفر کرنا پڑتا ہے، جو نہ صرف تکلیف دہ ہے بلکہ طلبہ کے ساتھ ناانصافی بھی ہے۔ یہ مسئلہ کسی ایک ڈیپارٹمنٹ تک محدود نہیں بلکہ پوری یونیورسٹی کے طلبہ کو متاثر کر رہا ہے۔

ہم مؤدبانہ طور پر یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ سے مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ: ✔️ پوائنٹس کی تعداد میں اضافہ کیا جائے
✔️ بیٹھنے کی جگہوں کو بڑھایا جائے
✔️ بیگ رکھ کر نشست محفوظ کرنے کے عمل کو روکا جائے
یہ اقدامات تمام طلبہ کے لیے سہولت، انصاف اور بہتر تعلیمی ماحول کو یقینی بنا سکتے ہیں۔
