The Monday after Pentecost is now the feast of the memorial of Mary, "Mater Ecclesiae." Even in His suffering on the Cross, Jesus lovingly gave us His mother, reminding us that we are never alone in our journey of faith.

As we honour Our Lady today, may we learn to follow her example of humility, trust, and surrender to God.

Let us pray that through her loving intercession, more hearts may be drawn closer to Christ and His Church. 🙏

Today, on the World Day of Prayer for the Church in China, let us unite our hearts in prayer, love, and solidarity with our Catholic brothers and sisters in China.

Through the tender intercession of Our Lady, Help of Christians, we especially remember those who quietly endure hardship and persecution for their faith. May the Lord strengthen them with His peace, fill them with courage and hope, and remind them that they are deeply loved, remembered, and never alone.

The Holy Spirit can sometimes feel distant or hard to understand. We can picture Jesus and pray to God the Father, but the Holy Spirit is often described as wind, fire, or a dove — mysterious symbols that can make Him feel far away. Yet, the Holy Spirit is not distant. He is God with us — our comforter, guide, and closest companion.

So often, it is through His quiet presence that our hearts are softened, healed, and slowly transformed. Looking back, we begin to realise how gently He has been leading us all along. And maybe today, the invitation is simply this: to speak to the Holy Spirit like a friend and let Him draw close to you, too.

In times of conflict, it can be easy to give in to anger, hatred, revenge, and the desire to “fight fire with fire.” But Christ calls us to something higher. Even in the midst of war, fear, and injustice, we are not meant to lose our humanity, our mercy, or our ability to love.

Jesus is our anchor in every storm. When we lose sight of Him, we risk being consumed by division, vengeance, and despair. “Put your sword back into its sheath” (Matthew 26:52). May we be peacemakers who choose mercy over hatred, prayer over fury, and peace over war — always seeking the conversion of hearts and the healing of the world.

As we celebrate the feast of the Ascension of Our Lord today, we are reminded that this world that we live in is not our true home. We are called to raise our hearts, minds, and gaze towards heaven, where our ultimate destiny lies.

Our right to heaven has been given us, our place is made ready. However, it is for us to live in such a way that we may occupy it some day. Let us resolve to pursue the joy that awaits us in heaven – to seek that which is above, that which is precisely what we are made for.

May is a special month when we honour Our Blessed Mother, Mary.

For many of us, she feels tender and close — like a mother who understands without needing many words. But for others, drawing near to her can feel difficult. We see her as perfect, sinless, the Immaculate Conception, and in that light, she can feel distant, almost unreachable.

Yet in His great love, Jesus did not give her to us to be admired from afar. He gave her to us as our Mother. Not to stir comparison or inadequacy, but to invite closeness, comfort, and trust.

Mary is not distant from our humanity. She meets us in it. She welcomes our weakness, our questions, our becoming. While we do not share her sinlessness, we are still fully invited to be her children. This month, may we come to her with simple, childlike trust. She longs to be near you, ready to listen, to hold what you carry, and to gently lead you closer to Jesus.

Open your heart to her. Let her mother you.
