Surah Ar-Rahman – The Beauty of Divine Mercy

Surah Ar-Rahman (الرحمن) is the 55th chapter of the Holy Quran, consisting of 78 verses. It is one of the most beautiful and poetic Surahs, emphasizing the infinite mercy, blessings, and power of Allah. The Surah is named after "Ar-Rahman," which means "The Most Merciful," one of Allah’s most significant attributes.

1. Divine Mercy & Blessings: The Surah highlights Allah’s countless favors upon mankind and jinn, repeatedly asking,
"So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?" (فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ)

2. Creation & Order of the Universe: It describes how Allah created the heavens, the earth, the sun, the moon, and the balance in nature.

3. Quran as a Divine Gift: The Surah starts with "Ar-Rahman, (He) has taught the Quran," emphasizing that divine guidance is a mercy from Allah.

Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali is famous for its AlQuran programme (The Qur’an), which was specifically intended to help children read and pronounce the Qur’an.

On Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) the programme was a tremendous success and was replayed often. The famous Sheik Abdul Basit Abdul Samad was one of his instructors.

Qari Sadaqat began participating in a very young age at local and international qiraat events. He has participated in 200 competitions and won numerous international competitions for Qiraat.

He was the first Pakistani Qari ever to be ranked #1 in Bangladesh’s Husn-e-Qirat. And he was recognized by the President of Pakistan with Hilal-i-Imitiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance.
