Ibn Abbas reported: I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said to me, “Young man, I will teach you some words. Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him before you. If you ask, ask from Allah. If you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that if the nations gathered together to benefit you, they could not benefit you unless Allah has decreed it for you. And if the nations gathered together to harm you, they could not harm you unless Allah has decreed it for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Tirmidhi

We should ask and seek help ONLY from ALLAH swt. And when we've asked for help it should be our eman that the help of ALLAH swt will come (sometimes in ways that we cannot even understand).

Beautiful recitation from Surah Yasin, highlighting to us HOW the promise of ALLAH swt will come true. Someone today might think the idea of Judgement Day is farfetched, BUT a day will come where the reality we know will completely change and where money, power, status etc. would hold value BUT it would be our deeds that will become valuable (smallest to the biggest).

We CANNOT separate Qur'an and our Prophet Muhammad SAWW. Qur'an being the manual whereas Prophet Muhammad SAWW being the practical example of how to apply that manual.

May ALLAH swt allow us to LOVE and FOLLOW our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAWW. Ameen!

The value of fearing ALLAH swt. This hadith does not suggest that a person keeps sinning, thinking he/she will ask forgiveness at the end. The hadith suggests the person 'got a realisation' near his end and feared ALLAH swt. These are two completely different things.

May ALLAH swt forgive us. Ameen!

May ALLAH swt give us the blessing in seeing and following laylatul qadr in the upcoming years and give us love and understanding of the Quran and its implementation. May ALLAH swt send peace and blessings upon His Messenger (saww). Ameen!

We should never lose hope in the forgiveness and mercy of ALLAH swt (there is NO ONE like HIM swt).

This does not mean that we keep sinning and sinning thinking ALLAH swt will forgive all, but we try our best to stay away from sins and when we do commit we sincerely repent and ask HIS swt forgiveness believing that HE swt forgives lovingly.

The road to Jannah and the road to Jahannum. This hadith gives us an insightful perspective of both paths.

Jannah: Road full of struggles (but the reward behind those struggles we CANNOT imagine)

Jahannum: Road full of desires (but the punishment behind fulfilling those desires we CANNOT imagine)

May ALLAH swt makes us people of Jannah and save us from Jahannum. Ameen!
