الحمدللہ Our historic roots trace back to 1935 in Ambala, India, with our current center established post-partition on the premises of a former Gurdwara, preserving the name “Gulistan-e-Marfat”. We
are devoted to the mission of Azadari-e-Imam Hussain (a.s) and hold year-round religious gatherings, especially during Muharram and Safar. We facilitate inclusive programs for men, women, and youth. Majalis-e-Aza for Muharram-ul-Haram are held nightly from 1st to 10th Muharram, between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM, at Imam Bargah Gulistan-e-Marfat. The Anjuman Imamia also organizes three major Jaloos-e-Aza, including:
7th Muharram: Jaloos-e-Shabeeh-e-Alam Hazrat Abbas (A.S.)
9th Muharram: Jaloos-e-Tazia followed by Shab-e-Ashoora Majlis
10th Muharram (Ashura): Jaloos-e-Shabeeh-e-Zuljinah
Additionally, the Chehlum Jaloos of Imam Hussain (A.S.) is held on 19th Safar-ul-Muzaffar. These processions (Jaloos) pass through traditional routes with active participation from Matami Sangats and renowned Noha Khwans. During Ashura, Namaz-e-Zohrain is offered at Chowk Ghanta Ghar, followed by Zanjir-Zani at the same location during Asr-e-Ashoora. The day concludes with Majlis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban at Imam Bargah Gulistan-e-Marfat. As the central (Markazi) Imam Bargah of Gujranwala, Imam Bargah Gulistan-e-Marfat hosts various Azadari programs throughout the year. Within its compound, two dedicated ladies' Imam Bargahs — Imam Bargah Hashmi Begum and Imam Bargah Gulistan-e-Zahra — provide a space for women to hold Majalis and Azadari gatherings year-round.
