"Man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” -1 Samuel 16:7b

This verse is about God selecting David as a king. He wasn't the biggest or strongest, but God cared more about his character.

Thankfully, weaknesses and imperfections do not disqualify us from being able to serve God! He wants us to be willing to serve Him.

So we should obey God, and trust Him with the results...

Jesus died on the cross to give us the opportunity to be saved from eternity in hell. But Jesus didn't stay in the grave- He conquered death by rising from the dead! And He loves each one of us very much- He offers the gift of salvation to all who will accept it.

If you would like to be forgiven of your sins and have eternal life in Heaven with Him, just honestly and sincerely pray something like this (the exact words you use aren't what is important- the meaning is what's important)-

"Dear Jesus, I know I'm a sinner and I'm lost without you. I believe you are God, you died on the cross to pay for my sins, and you overcame death by rising from the dead. Please save me! Forgive me for my sins, and give me an eternal home in Heaven with you. Thank you Lord for saving me!"
