It is a Hadith that, there is a polish for everything in the world and the polish for our Spiritual heart (Qalb) is Zikr-Allah. It can be done by a number of methods, but the purpose remains the same i.e. Abu Dardaa radiallaahu 'anhu said:"For everything there is a polish and the polish for the heart is the dhikr of Allaah".
