Memorial of Saint Roch, Healer

Powerful prayer for San Roque to help me urgently

Oh, great passion, deep wounds,
Bloodshed in abundance.
Oh meekness, god of meekness,
cruel death, have mercy on me
and grant my request if it is for me salvation.

Dear Lord, please grant my request.
San Roque, patron saint of animals and the sick,
I come to you at this time to help me
Look at my afflictions, my ailments,
As this world afflicts me greatly.
I don't know what to do.

You who have always watched over the most needy,
I need you right now.
Intercede for me before God the Father,
And make it possible for me to attend to my pleas.

Hear me Lord and answer me because I am poor and needy.
I recognize that without you I am nothing
Set my footsteps in your paths,
Help me in the midst of my storms,
Come out to meet me and help me.

Let your compassion quickly satisfy
our needs because we are on the verge of despair.
Sin stalks us and we need you to guide us
In the middle of this turbulent road.

San Roque, look at my urgency,
See my deepest needs
Take care of them with the speed that each one requires.
Protect me from my evils because I take refuge in you.

You are my Lord, apart from you I have nothing good
Teach me to walk in your ways.
Beloved San Roque, your power makes all my prayers stay together.

I ask you to help me in this difficult moment of my life.
Lord, you know that I have problems within the home
and difficulties within the family,
as well as financial problems and relationship problems,
all of which seem to have hit me at the same time.

Strengthen me with your power and help me not to look
the circumstances of life but you,
'Cause I know your grace is enough
so that you perfect your love in me.

I ask you San Roque, to do the impossible
in our lives and you can do much more
of what we can ask you or think.
I put all my problems on you
because you have promised to help me in time of need.

We warmly greet our Parish Priest, Fr. Merck a Happy Priest's Day. May God always be with you in your life's journey through highs and lows and keep you always healthy in mind, heart, and spirit so that you can continue to minister the Sacraments to the Christian people.

We would also like to greet Priests around the world, particularly the Clergy of Zamboanga. May the Holy Spirit continually lead and grant you perseverance and compassion always to continue working in His vineyard and to attentively listen to and respond to the cries of the sick, humiliated, abused, depressed, and poor.

THE BROWN SCAPULAR: Promise and Prayer

Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Dominic:

“One Day through the Rosary and Scapular I will save the World”

This is Mary’s Promise made July 16, 1261 to Saint Simon Stock:

“Whosoever dies clothed in this (scapular) shall not suffer eternal fire.”

The devils revealed to Francis of Yepes, the brother of St. John of the Cross, that three things especially tormented them. The first is the Name of Jesus; the second, the Name of Mary, and the third, the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. “Take off that habit,” they cried to him, “which snatches so many souls from us. All those clothed in it die piously and escape us.”

Your SCAPULAR, then should take on deep meaning for you. It is a rich present brought down from Heaven by OUR LADY HERSELF:

“Wear it devoutly and perseveringly,” she says to each soul, “it is my garment. To be clothed in it means you are continually thinking of me, and I in turn, am always thinking of you and helping you to secure eternal life.”

➕ THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

In the midst of the second world war Pope Pius XII put the whole world under the special protection of our Savior's Mother by consecrating it to her Immaculate Heart, and in 1944 he decreed that in the future the whole Church should celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

SOLEMN ACT OF CONSECRATION

Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world.

Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.

O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.

We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home. Amen.

🔸 FEAST OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA

Also known as
Lady of the Rosary (she called herself that when Lucia asked her name)

Commemorates the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three children in Fatima, Portugal on the 13th of each month from May to October in 1917. Our Lady appeared to Lucia, age 9, Blessed Francisco Marto, age 8, and Blessed Jacinta Marto, age 6, while they were tending sheep; they described her as "a woman all in white, more brilliant than the sun", and her message was to do reparation for sins that offend God, and to pray constantly for the conversion of sinners. She asked for devotion to the Holy Trinity, and for praying the Rosary daily for world peace. Word spread, and by the final apparition on 13 October, 70,000 people showed up to witness the Lady and the sign that she had promised; they witnessed the sun make three circles and zigzag around in the sky.
