📖 Matthew 16:13–20

Join us in prayer as we celebrate the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time and reflect on Jesus' question to His disciples: “Who do you say that I am?”

In today's Gospel, Peter boldly professes his faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. Christ then entrusts Peter with a special mission and declares him the rock upon which He will build His Church.

May this celebration invite us to examine our own faith and answer Jesus' question with our lives—not only with our words. May we remain firm in Christ, faithful to His Church, and courageous in proclaiming Him to the world.

🙏 Lord Jesus, strengthen our faith so that we may always recognize You as the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Like Peter, we are invited to step forward in faith, especially when the storms of life make us afraid. May we learn to keep our eyes on Christ, trust in His presence, and remember that He is always with us in the midst of every storm.

Join us in prayer as we celebrate the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time, reflecting on Jesus' Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds. In today's Gospel, Christ reminds us of God's patience, mercy, and perfect justice. Though good and evil exist side by side in our world, the Lord calls us to remain faithful, persevere in goodness, and trust that He will bring all things to fulfillment in His perfect time.

May this Eucharistic Celebration strengthen our faith, deepen our hope, and inspire us to become faithful witnesses of Christ's Kingdom through lives of love, humility, and holiness.

The St. Joseph Spirituality Center joyfully welcomes the seminarians and formators of St. Joseph Seminary of Ipil for their 2026 Annual Retreat.

We pray for a meaningful, grace-filled, and fruitful retreat as they begin a new year of formation. May the Holy Spirit touch their hearts, deepen their love for God, and inspire them to faithfully listen to and follow His promptings.

May St. Joseph, the silent guardian of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, watch over them and intercede for them throughout this sacred journey. May this retreat renew their commitment to God's call and strengthen them in their vocation.

Happy 32nd Sacerdotal Anniversary, Rev. Fr. Elmer Alforque!

For 32 years, your life has been a beautiful witness of faith, humility, and selfless service to God and His people. Thank you for your unwavering dedication to the priesthood and for becoming an instrument of hope and compassion to many.

May the Lord continue to strengthen your vocation, bless you with good health, wisdom, and joy as you faithfully continue your mission.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father,
we thank You for the gift of Rev. Fr. Elmer Alforque and for his 32 years of faithful priestly ministry. Continue to fill him with the grace of the Holy Spirit, renew his strength, and guide him always in Your love and mercy. Bless his ministry, protect him from all harm, and let his life continue to inspire many people to grow in faith and holiness. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may he remain joyful and faithful in serving Your Church.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
