FEAST DAY | ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA

St. Ignatius of Loyola lived an extraordinary life that transformed him from a vain, ambitious Spanish soldier into a profound mystic, priest, and the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). His journey defined modern Catholic spirituality and left a global legacy of education and service. ✨️

The Prayer of Generosity is a classic Ignatian petition asking for the grace to serve God selflessly. It asks for strength to give, fight, and labor without expecting any reward other than the knowledge of doing His will.

Prayer.
Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to ask for reward,
save that of knowing that I am doing your will.
