Psalm 23:1 says:
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing."

This verse is a powerful statement of trust in God’s provision. By calling the Lord a shepherd, the psalmist, David, paints a picture of God as loving, protective, and sufficient. A shepherd’s role is to lead, guide, nurture, and defend the sheep, ensuring they are safe and well-fed. In the same way, David expresses confidence that God will meet his every need.

It also emphasizes complete sufficiency in God —not that life will be without hardship, but rather that in God’s care, there is no true deficiency. His guidance, provision, and protection are enough to sustain those who put their trust in Him.

You are deeply loved, and God’s presence is constant. Even in difficult times, He is working for your good. When anxiety tries to steal your joy, remember that prayer is a powerful refuge. "On February 14, in celebration of Heart's Day, Chosen Generation conducted a Love Language Test at Western Mindanao State University. This initiative aimed to promote self-awareness among students by helping them discover their unique ways of giving and receiving love. Through this activity, participants gained a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, fostering meaningful connections within the university community."

This passage reveals the profound reality of God’s omnipresence and the power of His light to overcome any darkness. It speaks to the moments in life when we feel consumed by fear, guilt, or despair, when we believe we are hidden or separated from God. Yet, this scripture declares that nothing is hidden from Him. His presence is not bound by the limitations of human perception or circumstance.

What we see as darkness, God sees with clarity. To Him, the night shines as brightly as the day. This truth is a reminder that God’s presence is constant and His light is transformative. He penetrates the deepest shadows of our lives, offering hope where we see hopelessness, guidance where we feel lost, and renewal where we feel broken.

This passage challenges us to trust that no matter how overwhelming life may seem, God is always with us. His light illuminates every corner of our being, bringing peace, restoration, and the assurance that we are never beyond His reach. In Him, even the darkest moments are filled with the promise of light and renewal.

In line with the celebration of National Bible Month this January, the Chosen Generation - WMSU, gathered together and reached out to random students within their campus and gave away pens with bible verses. It was a simple way of reminding them that despite the hectic schedule and exhausting week in the field of academe or other aspects of life, may we not lose our interest in spending time with God by reading the bible and seeking Him daily.

Today, we met new people from different colleges. It was a fulfilling moment to get to know one another and provide encouragement to those who need it. This journey is only but a beginning of bringing people closer to God and witnessing a transformed life.

Together, we envision a thriving young generation that will seek, share, and serve Jesus!

Earlier today, the Chosen Generation - WMSU gathered together on campus in a unified moment of fun and fellowship. Our hearts were stirred as we set our eyes on the goal of flourishing in our faith and bearing much fruit this 2025. The atmosphere was filled with energy and purpose, as we encouraged one another to step into the calling God has placed on our lives; to hear testimonies of God's faithfulness and ever so goodness upon each and everyone's lives.

It was a beautiful reminder that we are not just a group, but a thriving young generation to make a real difference, living out the love and mission of Jesus in our campuses and beyond. This gathering was just the beginning of what we know will be a year of growth, impact, and transformation.

We envision a thriving young generation that will seek, share, and serve Jesus!

The essence of Christmas is found in the profound truth that "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." In this moment, the eternal and infinite God, the Creator of all things, chose to enter into His creation in the most intimate and vulnerable way possible—by becoming human. This is not merely a historical event, but the divine act of God stepping into our world to share in our suffering, joys, and struggles. The Word, which had been with God and was God, took on flesh to reveal God's very nature—perfectly embodied in Jesus Christ. Christmas, therefore, is not just about the birth of a baby, but the manifestation of God’s glory in a way that could be seen and touched. This glory, however, was not displayed in the expected form of earthly power or majesty, but through the humble, sacrificial love of a Savior. Jesus, as the "only begotten Son of the Father," uniquely revealed the depths of God's grace and truth—grace that offers forgiveness and transformation, and truth that calls humanity into reconciliation with God. In this mystery of the Incarnation, Christmas becomes a celebration of God’s most intimate desire: to dwell with His creation, to bring healing and redemption through His Son, and to show the world the fullness of His divine love.

Amidst the lights, the gifts, and the celebrations, let us never forget: Jesus is the reason for this season.

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦.

After preaching to the crowd, Jesus gets into a boat with His disciples to travel to the other side. Suddenly, a furious storm came up and the waves broke over the boat that it nearly swamped. Jesus was asleep in the stern. The disciples woke Him, worried for their safety and told Jesus to save them because they are going to drown. He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Jesus then rebuked the winds and the waves, and it completely stopped.

This story carries a powerful lesson for us today. It’s striking to see the peace Jesus had in the midst of the storm, in contrast to the fear the disciples experienced. Jesus, knowing what was about to happen, rebuked them for their lack of faith. In that moment, the disciples' fear of the storm overshadowed their trust in God's power. This also reveals our journey with Christ that in our human nature, we often struggle to look beyond our immediate circumstances. In the same way, disciples reacted just as we likely would have, focusing on the waves that seemed to threaten everything ahead of them. When life is smooth, trusting God can feel easier. However, in difficult times, trusting God becomes even more crucial.

May we be reminded that although life is unpredictable and storms inevitably arise, Jesus can calm the raging storms of our lives, just as He calmed the sea. 🌊
