Alhamdulillah, by the mercy and guidance of Allah (SWT), we have reached the end of the blessed month of Ramadhanโa month of fasting, reflection, prayer, and renewed faith.
The Muslim Atenean Law Students Association (MALASA) extends its warmest greetings to everyone celebrating. May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and acts of charity, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us continued guidance.
As we prepare for the Eid prayer, it is from the Sunnah to perform ghusl, wear oneโs best and cleanest clothing, and for men to apply perfume. It is also recommended to eat before leaving for the Eid prayer on Eid al-Fitr, traditionally in odd numbers of dates, following the practice of the Prophet ๏ทบ.
If possible, it is encouraged to walk to the place of prayer (musallah) and to take a different route when returning home. Throughout the morning, we should recite the takbeer, express gratitude to Allah, and greet one another with words of acceptance such as โTaqabbalallahu minna wa minkumโ (May Allah accept it from us and from you).
Eid is a time to show joy, strengthen family ties, visit loved ones, and share in the blessings of the day, all while remembering that it is also an act of gratitude and worship to Allah for allowing us to complete the month of Ramadhan.
May Allah (SWT) accept all our efforts and grant us the opportunity to witness and reach the next Ramadhan, In shaa Allah.
