We have just conducted the Thanksgiving Mass for the 121st Founding Anniversary of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University today, March 26, 2026, at the University Gymnasium.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Larry Miranda, our Claret Parish Priest. The celebration was a moment of gratitude for the many blessings received by the university throughout its 121 years of service in education and formation.

May the Lord continue to guide and bless the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University community in its mission of excellence and service.

As we continue our journey through Lent in preparation for the Paschal Triduum, we would like to invite you once again to our Lenten Mass on Friday, March 6, at 8:00 AM, to be held at the ZPPSU Gymnasium.

This is a meaningful time to encounter Christ and to reflect on our sins-bitterness, hatred, anger, and other forms of wrongdoing.

May this celebration of the Holy Mass help us cleanse our hearts and renew our spirits as we prepare for the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord.

Let us come together in prayer and reflection.

During the Ash Wednesday Mass, the Altar Server Ministry of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, headed by its coordinator Mr. Elmer Atilano who also serves as Head of the Office of Multifaith Services led the renewal of commitment of the altar servers as they continue their mission of serving God in all Mass celebrations in the University.

This meaningful moment highlights the dedication and willingness of these young men to grow in faith, discipline, and responsibility through their ministry. As they renew their promise of service, the University community reaffirms its support in nurturing their spiritual growth.

We remain committed to providing ongoing spiritual formation and guidance to these young servers as they faithfully serve God and the University community.

May the Lord continue to bless their hearts with humility, devotion, and perseverance in their sacred ministry. βœοΈπŸ™

The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, through its Office of Multifaith Services headed by Mr. Elmer Atilano, conducted the Ash Wednesday Mass as Catholics officially begin the sacred season of Lent today, February 18, at 3:00 PM. The Mass was sponsored by the Favulty Association headed by Dr. Rachel Lorena.

The Eucharistic Celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr. Larry Miranda, Parish Priest of San Antonio Marie Claret Parish, who reminded the faithful of the importance of repentance, prayer, fasting, and almsgiving during this holy season. The imposition of ashes served as a solemn reminder of our human frailty and our call to conversion, with the words: β€œRemember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Students, faculty, and staff gathered in prayerful participation, marking the beginning of a spiritual journey toward renewal and deeper faith as we prepare for the celebration of the Paschal Mystery.

May this Lenten season inspire everyone to grow closer to God through acts of charity, sacrifice, and sincere devotion.

Classes is suspended at 3:00pM to give way for the Ash Wednesday Mass.
