In light of a recent post that broadly claims all Evangelical and Born-Again churches endorse a certain politician, we at Zamboanga Elohim Baptist Church, Inc. feel the need to set the record straight.

We categorically state that we do not endorse any political party or candidate. As a local church, we respect the individual freedom of our members to vote according to their conscience. We firmly uphold the biblical principle of the separation of church and state and remain focused on our God-given mission.

While we acknowledge and submit to governing authorities as commanded in Scripture, we do not involve ourselves in political campaigning. Such activity lies outside the scope of our spiritual calling. Our primary purpose is to proclaim the Gospel, disciple believers, and glorify God in all that we do—not to influence political tides.

Let this serve as a reminder that not all churches can be lumped together in such claims. We remain steadfast in our commitment to truth, integrity, and the unchanging mission of Christ.

⚠️ WARNING: BE VIGILANT OF SCAM CALLS ⚠️

Good morning, everyone! I want to share a recent experience to keep you all aware and safe.

I received a call from an unknown number where the caller referred to me as (another person.) It immediately clicked that they likely got my number from a Church poster. The man asked me to pray for his dying child, but due to an urgent matter, I had to cut the call, promising to call back later.

When I called him back to address his concern, his tone shifted drastically. He threatened to kill me, blaming me for rejecting his first request. We continue to spoke with him, but the man remained consistent in his threats, saying that if his child died, we would be responsible.

Throughout the conversation, several things didn’t add up—his threats, the way he shifted topics, and his manipulative behavior. We sought advice from a Police Intel officer, who immediately confirmed this as a modus operandi of an organized extortion group. They threaten people and ask them for a significant amount of money.

What to Do:
👉Be cautious of calls or messages from unknown numbers.
👉Do not share personal information, such as your full name or address.
👉If the situation seems suspicious or persistent, block the number.
👉Report any threats or suspicious activity to the authorities.
👉Stay vigilant, stay safe, and trust in God. Let’s continue to look out for each other. God bless!
