A.L.E.C.S. Is a religious, educational, social, and non-profit organization under the supervision of the Campus It shall dedicate itself to the following objectives:

The Ateneo Lectors Society(ALECS) seeks to form its members into becoming a community of spiritually motivated, socially aware, and service-oriented individuals who are faithful to Gospel values. The society believes in the importance of the special ministry of God’s Word in the liturgy of the Church. Form competent lectors who shall proclaim the Scripture readings, announce the intentions of the

general intercessions, read the Psalm between the readings and direct the singing and the participation of the faithful during the celebration of the Eucharist. To encourage the faithful to learn and appreciate the beauty and richness of God’s Word. C. To reach out in order to assist in the improvement of liturgical celebrations. D. To develop the members’ individual potentials through community building activities and spiritual formation programs.
