🤲🏻 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗗, 𝗙𝗘𝗗, 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗: 𝗔 𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘!

As our solemn fast culminates, we are gathered into the holiness of this Sabbath day—a day of profound completion and relational intimacy. This day presents a sacred triptych:

In the Foot Washing, we enact the posture of the fast: humility, mutual service, and the cleansing grace that prepares us for sacred fellowship.

In the Communion Service, we receive the heart of the fast: partaking of the broken Body and shed Blood, we are nourished not by earthly bread, but by the very substance of the New Covenant purchased for us.

In the Sabbath Rest itself, we enter the promise of the fast: a ceasing from our striving to abide fully in His finished work, allowing the spiritual work of these ten days to be sealed within us.

Today is not merely an end, but a holy integration of our sacrifice with His, our service with His example, and our hunger with His eternal provision.

“Let us therefore celebrate the festival... with sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:8)

🤲🏻 𝟭𝟬𝗧𝗛 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟭𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

The tenth and final night of our solemn fast arrives. This is the night of culmination, of watching with lamps trimmed for the arrival of the Bridegroom. Our season of focused seeking reaches its apex. We transition from pleading to poised reception, making room in our hearts for the promised answer, the fresh anointing, and the specific word that has been cultivated in the secret place. Let expectancy fill the air.

“The vision awaits its appointed time... it will surely come; it will not delay.” (Habakkuk 2:3)

🤲🏻 𝟵𝗧𝗛 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟭𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

On the penultimate night, we approach the depths of Gethsemane. This is the hour for the final, most profound surrender of personal will. All pretense is gone; only raw, trusting faith remains. Let this night be marked by deep, groaning intercession—for burdens too heavy for words, for breakthroughs just beyond sight, and for a world in need of mercy. We hold the line one more night.

“And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly.” (Luke 22:44)

🤲🏻 𝟴𝗧𝗛 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟭𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

The eighth night symbolizes new beginnings—a passage from one season into the next. Having walked through a cycle of consecration (seven), we now stand on the threshold of a fresh infilling. Tonight, we pray with expectancy for the new things God desires to inaugurate in and through us. We offer ourselves as vessels ready to be dedicated anew for His covenant purposes.

“In Him you were also circumcised... not done by human hands.” (Colossians 2:11) // A symbol of the new covenant in Christ.

The seventh night stands as a pillar of completion within the sacred journey. Biblically, seven signifies wholeness and a divine finish. On this night, we do not falter but instead rise with a spirit of holy contention. We press our prayers with renewed authority, believing that the spiritual foundations laid in these days are being sealed. This is a night to stand firm, to decree, and to witness the consolidation of spiritual gains.

“And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done.” (Genesis 2:2)

Night Six is a testament to the spiritual power of consistency. It is not in the grand, single gesture, but in the humble, daily return to the posture of seeking that transformation is cemented. This night, we honor the quiet faithfulness that has brought us here. We reaffirm our commitment, not out of obligation, but from a deepening conviction that in His presence is the fullness of life.

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7)

On this fifth night, any reliance on human strength is fully exposed and laid aside. We have moved beyond initial discipline into a state of deepened, abiding dependence. Here, in the conscious awareness of our own weakness, His strength is made perfect. Tonight, we lean not on our understanding but wholly on the everlasting arms that sustain us.

"He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" (2 Corinthians 12:9)

The Sabbath provides a holy pause—a divinely appointed moment to reflect on the grace that has sustained us thus far, and to listen for the specific word He may speak in the quiet. In the heart of our fast, we find rest; in our sacrifice, we discover provision.

Let us guard against familiarity and instead lean into the growing grace that sustains us. May our prayers gain in specificity and power as we continue this collective ascent.

Tonight, let us broaden our prayers—for one another, for the Body, and for a world in need of light. May our collective surrender amplify our spiritual authority and efficacy.

"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

On this hallowed eve, we commence a sacred decameron of prayer and fasting. We enter a period of solemn consecration, setting aside worldly sustenance to feast upon divine manna. Let our collective supplication rise as incense, and our yielded hearts become fertile ground for the Spirit's work. May these ten days be marked by profound revelation, spiritual renewal, and a deepened communion with the Most High.

🎉 Blessed First Sabbath of the Year!

The calendar has turned, resolutions are set, and the world leans into its familiar hustle. But today, we practice a different kind of resolve. Today, we embrace the ancient, gentle rhythm of the first Sabbath.

It is not merely a day off, but a day for. A day for the soul to catch its breath. For hands to lay down their work and find a different purpose—in connection, in quiet, in gratitude. This sacred pause is our foundational act of the year, a declaration that our time, our peace, and our spirit are not commodities to be spent, but gifts to be treasured.

So we light the candles a little earlier. We savor the words a little longer. We let the silence speak. This is how we begin: not with a sprint, but with a sacred breath.

A gentle reminder that our worth isn't in our doing, but in our being — resting in His grace.

Here’s to a year that remembers to rest. Shabbat Shalom.
