π ππππππ ππππππ-ππππππππ ππππππππππ πππππππ ππ ππ| The Couples for Christ (CFC) is bringing its Christ-centered healthcare mission to Zamboanga City, offering free medical, dental, and surgical services to indigent ZamboangueΓ±os beginning January 2027.
CFC representatives presented the proposed initiative to Mayor Khymer Olaso at City Hall Tuesday morning, August 25, as part of the organization's Answering the Cry of the Poor (ANCOP) program.
Under the proposal, a four-day Medical and Dental Mission will be held in selected barangays [villages] in coordination with the city government, while a separate Surgical Mission is planned at the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC).
CFC said the missions will be supported by physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals from different parts of the world who are willing to share their time, expertise, and resources with residents in need.
The initiative reflecrs CFC's faith-based commitment to serving disadvantaged communities, with the organization invoking Christ's call to care for those in need, as expressed in Matthew 25:40.
Mayor Olaso directed the City Health Office (CHO) to coordinate with CFC on the proposed missions and their implementation, underscoring the city administration's efforts to expand healthcare access among vulnerable residents.
