We are thrilled to announce a historic achievement for UGEP at the prestigious Asia CEO Awards, held at the Manila Marriott Hotel!

Our President and CEO, Ruth Yu-Owen , was named the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 award. This top honor celebrates her visionary leadership and profound impact in advancing renewable energy and gender empowerment across the Philippines.

In celebration of World Bread Day, the Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association, spearheaded by one of its members, Mr. Sixto Kwan, once again shared the gift of bread with the beneficiaries of AdZU’s Pan Cada Dia Food Subsidy Program — spreading kindness and nourishment, one loaf at a time. 🥖💙

INVITATION | Ninety for Ninety - a Benefit Event for AdZU’s Pan Cada Dia Program

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University’s Pan Cada Dia Program has been a lifeline of hope that has made dreams possible for its beneficiaries. Established by AdZU Board Vice Chair Ms Ruth Yu Owen, it is a food subsidy program for students challenged by financial constraints and has now grown into a movement that continues to change lives.

Secure a table for the Ninety for Ninety event on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Yuchengco Museum, RCBC Plaza Complex, Makati City.

This is a special celebration for the 90th birthday of Fr William "Bill" Kreutz SJ — one of AdZU’s former presidents and a beloved visionary leader who is a passionate supporter of the AdZU Pan Cada Dia Program during his tenure.

With nostalgic songs performed by the legendary Jose Mari Chan, this is a night that celebrates the life of Fr Kreutz and the magic of the Pan Cada Dia program that has brought a brighter future to so many.

Muchísimas Gracias, Julito!

Mr. Julito Abong, a proud former BSE Centennial Scholar of Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) and a past recipient of the Siu Hua Yu / Pan Cada Dia Food Subsidy Program, is now paying it forward in the most inspiring way. Today, he serves as a public school teacher at Talisayan National High School, while also supporting the very food subsidy program that once helped him.

His journey is a powerful testament to the lasting impact of educational opportunities and support programs. By choosing to give back and dedicate his life to shaping young minds, Julito embodies the true spirit of service and generosity—continuing the cycle of giving and inspiring others to do the same.
