College Campus Ministers Attend the International Conference on Ignatian Spirituality
Last April 22โ24, 2026, a group of College Campus Ministers participated in an international conference on Ignatian Spirituality held at Ateneo de Manila University.
The delegation was led by Mr. Kevin Roy P. Jimera, Campus Ministry Director, together with Ms. Gernalyn Potestas, Ms. Aurelli Maria Bettina A. Lim, Ms. Sheila T. Agan, Ms. Rejen Destacamento, and Ms. Haizel Langoyan.
The conference gathered formators, theologians, spiritual guides, and campus ministers from various institutions, creating a meaningful space for collaboration and shared learning. Central themes of the conference focused on mental health, communal discernment, and the role of artificial intelligence in ministry and spiritual formation.
In addition to attending the conference, Unit Director for Formation Honey Rod Alfaro and Campus Ministry Director Kevin Jimera met with Ophalle R. Alzona-Pornela and her team from the Office for Social Concern and Involvement, as well as Ms. Ma. Christina I. Sollorano and her team from the Loyola Schools Office of Campus Ministry, for a benchmarking of key feature programs of ADMU.
Through insightful discussions and reflective sessions, participants deepened their understanding of how Ignatian spirituality continues to respond to contemporary challenges.
The gathering emphasized the importance of accompaniment, fostering a spirit of walking together in mission and service.
As a community, we give thanks to the Lord for the gift of accompaniment and for the opportunity to be companions in this shared mission. The experience strengthened our commitment to serve, discern, and care for others as companions in this mission.
