BIRTHDAY (JANUARY 18) – REV. FR. JOEL MALCAMPO

The Pastor Bonus Seminary community cordially greets our birthday celebrant, the Reverend Father Joel Malcampo (b. 1975). Father Malcampo is currently a Parochial Vicar of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He also teaches Philosophy at the Immaculate Conception Archdiocesan School, Inc. (College Department).

God of all creation,
we offer you grateful praise for the gift of life.
Hear the prayers of Father Joel, your servant,
who recalls today the day of his birth
and rejoices in your gifts of life and love,

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.

The Lord has given the Archdiocese of Zamboanga a great gift in the person of Abp. Romulo Dela Cruz, D.D. We have been blessed by his fatherly guidance and love for the past seven years.

The Lord has taken away. Today we announce with great sorrow the passing of Abp. Romulo dela Cruz. He has long suffered from his illness and is now given relief to enjoy eternal peace in heaven.

We still praise the Name of the Lord. We offer our prayers to God for the soul of Abp. Rommy, for his family and we pray for our Archdiocese of Zamboanga.

Eternal rest grant unto Your faithful servant, Abp. Romulo dela Cruz, Oh Lord. And let Your perpetual light shine upon him.

May He Rest In Peace.

For the guidance of the Devotees and Pilgrims of Nuestra Señora La Virgen Del Pilar.

With the recent developments and changes inplemented by the National IATF and the Local Government Unit. The Shrine Administration has to follow the guidelines given to limit the activites on the Feast of Nuesta Señora La Virgen del Pilar on Oct. 12, 2021.

Oct. 11, 2021 - 8:00pm to 12:00mn. - There will be a vigil prayer at the shrine. This will be live streamed in the page.

Oct. 12, 2021 - Instead of having 7 Masses, we will have only 1 Mass without congregation. Instead this will be live streamed on our page. The Shrine will then be closed to visitors and pilgrims from 4:00pm. to 6:30pm. So as to follow the directives that only 30 people are allowed to attend in the Mass.

Also in place of the Mañanita Mass at 4:30am, we will be having the Mañanita Serenade in honor of Our Lady of the Pilar. This activity is also regulated in order to follow the directives not to gather people. The serenade will then be live streamed and be shown in the Shrine's page.

We continue to celebrate the Feast of Our Blessed Mother, La Virgen del Pilar despite the restrictions given to us. The Shrine is open to all pilgrims and devotees as long as we follow the directives from the Government.
