MAY 22, 2026 | Feast of St. Rita of Cascia
Patroness of Impossible Causes

O glorious St. Rita,
faithful servant of God and
powerful intercessor in difficult cases,
I come to you with confidence and hope.

You who patiently bore suffering
and remained steadfast in faith,
teach me to trust in God’s will
even in moments of trial and pain.

O compassionate saint,
you who experienced the power of prayer,
intercede for me before the Lord.
Obtain for me the grace I seek
(mention your intention here),
if it be according to God’s holy will.

Help me to carry my crosses with courage,
to forgive those who have wronged me,
and to grow in love and holiness each day.

O St. Rita, model of patience and perseverance,
assist all who are burdened,
and bring hope to those in despair.

St. Rita of Cascia, pray for us. Amen

St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish Youth Ministry ASYC 2026 Evaluation

With grateful hearts, we gathered as one family to reflect, evaluate, and celebrate the beautiful journey of the Archdiocesan Summer Youth Camp 2026. Through every activity, sharing, laughter, and challenge, we experienced God’s love and guidance in our lives.
As we look back on the memories and lessons from the camp, may we continue to become lights to others, living out the theme:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” — John 8:12
Thank you to everyone who became part of this meaningful journey. May the friendships, faith, and inspiration we gained continue to shine brightly in our communities.💡❤️

Today is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord.

This feast commemorates Jesus Christ's ascent to heaven, marking the completion of his earthly mission. It signifies Christ taking his rightful place at the right hand of God the Father, where he intercedes for humanity. The Ascension also anticipates Christ's promise to send the Holy Spirit to guide and empower the Church. This event fills the Church with hope and reminds believers that Christ has paved the way for them to one day join him in eternal glory. The feast develops the glory of the resurrection by acclaiming the exaltation of Christ as Lord of heaven and earth. It serves to prepare the Church, toward the end of the season of Easter, for the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

COLLECT
Gladden us with holy joys, almighty God, and make us rejoice with devout thanksgiving, for the Ascension of Christ your Son is our exaltation, and, where the Head has gone before in glory, the Body is called to follow in hope. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

𝐒𝐭.𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫

Isidore has become the patron of farmers and rural communities. In particular, he is the patron of Madrid, Spain, and of the United States National Rural Life Conference.

When he was barely old enough to wield a hoe, Isidore entered the service of John de Vergas, a wealthy landowner from Madrid, and worked faithfully on his estate outside the city for the rest of his life. He married a young woman as simple and upright as himself who also became a saint—Maria de la Cabeza. They had one son, who died as a child.

Isidore had deep religious instincts. He rose early in the morning to go to church and spent many a holiday devoutly visiting the churches of Madrid and surrounding areas. All day long, as he walked behind the plow, he communed with God. His devotion, one might say, became a problem, for his fellow workers sometimes complained that he often showed up late because of lingering in church too long.

He was known for his love of the poor, and there are accounts of Isidore’s supplying them miraculously with food. He had a great concern for the proper treatment of animals.

He died May 15, 1130, and was declared a saint in 1622, with Saints Ignatius of Loyola, Francis Xavier, Teresa of Avila, and Philip Neri. Together, the group is known in Spain as “the five saints.”

Our Lady of Fatima

Today, we honor the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima—a reminder of hope, peace, and the power of prayer. As she appeared to the three shepherd children in 1917, Our Blessed Mother brought a message of conversion, penance, and trust in God's mercy.

Let us pray:

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the Rosary and Mother of Mercy, who appeared at Fatima to reveal the treasures of grace hidden in the Rosary, inspire our hearts with a sincere love for prayer and peace. May we live according to your message, turning away from sin and embracing the light of Christ. Amen.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

And with that, Archdiocesan Summer Youth Camp 2026 comes to an end!❤️

The youth of St. Ignatius of Loyola have brought home memories, experience, and lessons to carry. Their camp is full of sessions, animations, and Eucharistic celebration. ASYC is never just a camp; it is a story. A story of Katipuneros empowering others and strengthening unity and solidarity. We went home being the better versions of ourselves.

In the blink of an eye, the ASYC 2026 has ended with full of experience to share. It was an amazing journey for our fellow youth to ignite their spirits as Christians, socialize with others, and to deepen their faith. From Day 0 to Day 3, it was a journey worth cherishing and remembering.

See you sa ASYC 2028. Ano, Tara?❤️
