This feast is rooted in biblical imagery and tradition, drawing from Revelation 12:1, which depicts a vision of a woman clothed with the sun, standing as a symbol of Maryโ€™s exalted role. As the Mother of Christ and Queen of the heavenly court, she intercedes for us with boundless love and compassion.

Prayer

O Mary, my Mother, I offer everything to your Immaculate Heart as I remember your glorious Assumption into heaven. I offer everything to empty myself of anything unnecessary and fill that emptiness with your virtues. Warm me with gentle hands of yours in tight embrace to liberate me from anything that will hurt my Lord. Raise up, as you assumpt into heaven, all my faults and weaknesses before the Lord to win His forgiveness that will grant me, in turn, comfort and peace, courage and perseverance to respond more faithfully to the Most Holy Will of God. Lord Jesus, in Your Transfiguration You revealed the glory that awaits those who faithfully follow You. Though You call us to carry our crosses each day, You also promise the joy of sharing in Your Resurrection. Grant us the grace to persevere through every trial, uniting our sufferings with Yours, so that, strengthened by hope and sustained by Your love, we may one day share in the everlasting glory of Your heavenly Kingdom.

Today, we are celebrating the feast of St. John Mary Vianney, the patron saint of priests and clergy. May we offer a prayer to our shepherds that they may continue to serve as a blessing to many and imitate our Lord Jesus Christ. May this day remind them of their mission and calling.

To our beloved parish priest, Rev. Fr. Oscarlito L. Bisnar Jr. and parochial vicars - Rev. Fr. Filmore Calibo and Rev. Fr. Mariano delas P***s, thank you for being an inspiration and to your unending love to your parishioners. May your homilies continue to inspire many and may they reach those who are in need of those touching words. May God continue to shower you with his blessing.

Saint Peter Julian Eymard (1811-1868) was a French Catholic priest and the founder of two religious congregations dedicated to the Eucharist: the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament for priests and brothers, and the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament for women. He was a strong advocate of Eucharistic devotion and played a key role in promoting the practice of Eucharistic adoration. Peter Julian Eymard was canonized by Pope John XXIII in 1962. His feast day is celebrated on August 2.

Saint Ignatius of Loyola, through your wounds God opened your heart and led you to a life of deeper faith and generous service. You listened to His voice, discerned His holy will, and gave yourself completely for His greater glory and the salvation of souls. Pray for us, that we may also be attentive to Godโ€™s voice amid the joys and trials of life, and have the wisdom and courage to follow wherever He leads.

Help us to seek not our own desires but Godโ€™s will in all things. Teach us to love and serve Him with undivided hearts, to persevere in times of suffering, and to live always for His greater glory.
