Flores de Mayo, or the โ€œFlowers of May,โ€ is a month-long celebration in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It features daily prayers, floral offerings, and processions.

Our Flores De Mayo will be from Monday to Friday, 4 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel. Interested to join, just approach our Catechist Coordinator Mila Lozarito.

This is an initiative of our chapel to create awareness that November 1, in the Churchโ€™s liturgical calendar, is the Solemnity of All Saints,

"The preceding eve is known as โ€œAll Hallowโ€™s Eveโ€ or Halloween. The root word of Halloween โ€“ โ€hallowโ€ โ€“ means โ€holy.โ€ The suffix โ€œeenโ€ is an abbreviation of โ€œevening.โ€ It refers to the Eve of All Hallows, the night before the Christian holy day that honors saintly people of the past."

So instead of the customary practice of people dressing up in scary and supernatural costumes during Halloween, let us give meaning to this celebration by really attributing this to all our Saints.

We are inviting all children age 5-12 to join us for the online contest Parade of Saints, a celebration of faith, devotion, and history!
Come and watch as participants bring to life the stories of saints through vibrant costumes.

Let the lives of these holy men and women inspire us all to live with courage, compassion, and grace.
