August is a special time to recognize the dedication and commitment of Altar Servers who faithfully serve God and His Church. Through our service at the altar, we learn the values of humility, discipline, faith, and brotherhood.

In Serving God, Our Hearts Speak.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is now opening its doors to aspiring altar servers who are answering God’s call to serve.

We are looking for applicants who:
• Are male, aged 13 to 17 years old
• Have received the Sacrament of Baptism and First Holy Communion
• Are willing to commit to a life of service, prayer, and discipline

To serve God is more than simply assisting in the sacred ministry; it is a response to His call to grow in faith, discipline, and character.
In responding to God’s calling, our hearts speak. And as we answer His call, we grow together in faith as one brotherhood.

CALLED TO SERVE: THE HEART OF AN ALTAR SERVER

With hearts full of faith and dedication, we warmly invite everyone to witness the Solemn Rites of Investiture of the Altar Servers on March 14, 2026, at 5:30 PM at St. Pius X Chapel.

This solemn celebration marks a meaningful moment as our altar servers formally commit themselves to the sacred ministry of serving at the Lord’s altar. It is a reminder that altar serving is not only a duty but a calling that requires humility, devotion, and a sincere heart in serving God and His Church.

Let us come together as a community to support and pray for these young servants as they take a deeper step in their journey of faith and service.

Altar Server Aspirants’ Formation Seminar

The altar server aspirants gathered at the Conference Hall of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception last March 7, 2026, for a day of learning, reflection, and spiritual formation during the Aspirants’ Liturgical Formation Seminar, with the theme, “Called to Serve: The Heart of an Altar Server.” This seminar aimed to prepare the aspirants not only for their role in serving at the altar but, more importantly, to nurture their hearts in faithfully serving God and the Church.

We extend our gratitude to Kuya Rowin Manuel, former MCIC Altar Servers Coordinator, for sharing his time, knowledge, and inspiring message with our young aspirants. May this formation strengthen their dedication, humility, and commitment as future servants of the altar.
