The Archdiocesan Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples (ACMIP) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Meeting highlighted by a half-day skills training on P**o Pao Making for all parish coordinators, in partnership with TESDA.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the TESDA personnel for generously sharing their time, expertise, and skills with our coordinators, empowering them with livelihood opportunities and practical learning.

NDPAHT 2026 || The Celebration of the National Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking, with the theme “Peace Begins with Dignity: A Global Call to End Human Trafficking,” commenced with a Holy Mass at Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish, Tugbungan. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Rodriguez, RCAZ Director of the Archdiocesan Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples, and was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Ricky C. Gente, CS, Executive Secretary of the CBCP–Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant Peoples.

Following the Holy Mass, a short forum on Awareness Raising Against Human Trafficking follows. The forum featured distinguished resource speakers, namely Fr. Ricky Gente, CS - Executive Secretary, CBCP- ECMI, Mr. Cristelito Abadilla, CBCP–ECMI Mindanao Coordinator, and Dr. Marcelita Carpizo, RSW, Consultant of Katilingban sa Kauswagan Org. Inc., who shared valuable insights, experiences, and strategies in addressing human trafficking and promoting the dignity of every person.

The awareness forum opened our hearts and minds to the realities faced by migrants and vulnerable individuals. Through shared stories, insights, and lived experiences, we were reminded that ending human trafficking is not only a responsibility—it is a moral call to act.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our speakers, participants, and organizers for their presence and commitment. May the knowledge and reflections we gained today move us toward concrete actions rooted in compassion, justice, and faith.

Let us continue to work together so that peace may truly begin with dignity for every migrant and vulnerable person.

The Archdiocesan Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples stands in solidarity as we join the National Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking. Guided by the theme “Peace Begins with Dignity: A Global Call to End Human Trafficking,” we pray, raise awareness, and renew our commitment to protect human dignity, defend the vulnerable, and work together for a world free from exploitation. 🕊️🙏

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we entrust to You all victims and survivors of human trafficking. Through the compassion of Your Son, Jesus Christ, heal their wounds, restore their dignity, and strengthen their spirits. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, refuge of the afflicted, and Saint Joseph, protector of the vulnerable, watch over them with loving care. Grant them freedom from all forms of exploitation, surround them with justice and mercy, and lead them toward healing, peace, and new life in Your saving grace. Amen.

This Christmas season, the Archdiocesan Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples joyfully extends our heartfelt greetings to all migrant workers and itinerant peoples, as well as to our partners, collaborators, and parish communities.

As we celebrate the birth of Christ, we remember that the Holy Family themselves were travelers—seeking shelter, safety, and hope. In their journey, we see your stories: of sacrifice, resilience, faith, and love for family and community despite distance and hardship.

To our migrant workers, your courage and perseverance continue to inspire us. Your labor, often unseen, sustains families and builds communities across borders. To our itinerant peoples, your journey is a living testimony of trust in God’s providence and the strength of faith amid uncertainty.

We also extend our deep gratitude to our partners, collaborators, and parishes who tirelessly walk with us in service—offering compassion, protection, and accompaniment to those on the move. Your commitment reflects the true spirit of Christmas: love in action.

May the light of the Christmas star guide you wherever you are. May the Child Jesus fill your hearts with peace, renew your strength, and bring comfort, hope, and joy to your homes and journeys.

Feliz Pascua y Prospero Año Nuevo a todos!
May God’s blessings be upon you and your loved ones, now and always. 🎄⭐️

CONVERGENCE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) SIGNING|| Today marks a significant milestone as the Department of Migrant Workers IX, the Archdiocese of Zamboanga Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zamboanga come together in unity and shared purpose. Through this Convergence Memorandum of Agreement, we affirm our collective commitment to protect, empower, and support our migrant workers and their families.

This partnership symbolizes not only collaboration, but compassion in action—bridging government initiatives and faith-based advocacy to ensure that every migrant Filipino is valued, guided, and cared for. Together, we stand as one community, working hand in hand for the dignity, welfare, and well-being of our modern-day heroes.
