Welcome to the Flores de Mayo: 31-Day Challenge!

Throughout the month of May, we invite you on a journey of faith, devotion, and discovery as we celebrate the "Flowers of May." This month-long challenge is designed to bring our community closer to the Blessed Virgin Mary by exploring her life, her virtues, and the profound dogmas of the Church.

What to Expect
Every day for the next 31 days, we will post a new question as a challenge focused on our Mother Mary and Catechism. It’s a wonderful way to:
• Deepen your knowledge of Catholic teachings and Marian history.
• Reflect daily on the grace and humility of Mary.
• Engage with the parish by sharing your answers and insights in the comments.

How to Participate
It’s easy! Just check our page daily for the new challenge. Use the reaction emojis to "vote" for the correct answer on quiz days, or share your thoughts when we post a reflection.
Whether you are a lifelong devotee or just starting to learn about the significance of Flores de Mayo, there is a place for you here. Let’s make this May a season of spiritual growth and floral offerings to our Queen of Heaven.

"To Jesus, through Mary."

Prayer for the Beginning of May

Holy Mary, Mother of God, we dedicate this month to you. As the earth awakens with new life, we ask you to awaken our hearts to the message of your Son.

We place our intentions into your hands, trusting in your maternal care. Be our guide when we are lost and our strength when we are weary. Help us to mirror your obedience and your love so that we may grow in holiness.

We ask for your protection over our homes and your peace within our souls. Lead us always to the heart of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

This Good Shepherd Sunday, we reflect on the beautiful promise that we are never truly lost. Like the imagery from Psalm 23, we are guided by a love that restores our souls, leads us to still waters, and walks beside us even through the darkest valleys.

In a world that can often feel chaotic, there is profound peace in knowing we are known, named, and deeply cared for by the Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep.

"The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want."

May your heart find rest and your "cup overflow" with His grace this week.

May the Holy Father be granted the courage to continue speaking truth to power, reminding us that true leadership lies in dialogue and the "unarmed and disarming peace" of Christ.
We pray that his calls for an end to war and the "delusion of omnipotence" reach the ears of world leaders and bring light to darkness and hope to despair.

Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Finding God in all things.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of diving deep into the heart of Ignatian Spirituality, guided by the wisdom of Rev. Fr. Tex Paurom, SJ. It was a powerful reminder that our spiritual journey isn't just about moments of prayer, but about discerning God’s presence in the everyday mess and beauty of our lives. Left the session with a clearer heart and a renewed spirit.

An Invitation to Peace
For those in conflict may forget evil and so be healed.

In these difficult days, our hearts are heavy with the news of escalating violence and suffering in the Middle East.
We invite you to join us in a moment of intercession. Whether in the quiet of your home or gathered with others, let us ask for the "preservation of peace" in a land that is sacred to many, yet currently broken by war.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark.

Mass at Dawn on Easter Sunday

The Parish of St. Ignatius of Loyola gathered at the break of day to celebrate the first light of the Resurrection. As the sun rose, we rejoiced in the victory of Christ, the true Light of the World, who has shattered the darkness of death forever.

The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night

After the silence of the tomb, our "Alleluia" returns! Our parish community gathered for the most holy night of the year to witness the victory of life over death. We celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation. Happy Easter to all!

For he is the true Lamb who has taken away the sins of the world;
by dying he has destroyed our death,
and by rising, restored our life.
