Few days ago, hundreds of deportees arrived from Malaysia. Some of them were from Tawi-tawi, Sulu, Basilan, and Zamboanga peninsula. However, a few had no place to go because they have no document to prove that they are Filipinos. Although they were born in Sabah, the Malaysian government did not recognize them because their ancestors came from the Philippines. They are a people without a country, and their destiny hangs by a thread. Unless the Philippine government grants them sanctuary and new identity, they are lost. But who would be interested in these individuals who have nothing in their hands? If Jesus responded to us the way people respond to homeless people, we are doomed. Because of his grace, we were like wild olive branches which were grafted into the trunk who is Jesus.

The busiest airport in the world is in Atlanta, Georgia. U.S.A. It served more than one hundred million passengers per year. It brought a lot of money both to airline companies and to the government, but today it is like a ghost city. The planes are grounded and travelers are gone, hence, this airport is virtually useless. The high and mighty bowed down to an invisible and mysterious parasite of which scientists are still trying to understand. If governments knew that a pandemic like this will happen, would they construct an expensive airport and let millions of dollars go down the drain? Human vision is limited to the here and now, and we lose a lot when we gamble in the future which is so uncertain. However, when we allow God to lead us to the future, nothing will be lost because God is already there waiting for us.
