🙏 Installation of Lay Ministers 🙏
📍 Holy Innocents Parish

With grateful hearts, we witness the installation of our Lay Ministers who are called to serve faithfully in the Church:

🤍 LecCom (Lectors & Commentators)
🤍 EMHC (Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion)

May their dedication inspire the community to grow deeper in faith and service.

In the Gospel, Jesus proclaims, “I am the bread of life.” As Lay Ministers, you are entrusted with a sacred mission—not only to proclaim the Word, but also to become living witnesses of Christ in your daily lives.
Like the early Christians in Acts who continued to spread the Good News even in times of difficulty, may you remain steadfast and joyful in your service.
Your ministry is not just a role, but a calling—to nourish others spiritually and to bring Christ closer to His people.

🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of these Lay Ministers whom You have called to serve Your Church.
Grant them wisdom as they proclaim Your Word,
Reverence as they share the Body of Christ,
And humility in all their actions.
May they be instruments of Your love and peace,
And may their service lead others closer to You.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

04/29/2026 | 🙏Installation of Lay Ministers🙏
At Holy Innocents Parish, we joyfully welcome and install our dedicated lay ministers who faithfully serve in our parish community.

🤍 LecCom (Lector & Commentator)
– Proclaims the Word of God and guides the flow of the Holy Mass.

🤍 EMHC (Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion)

The celebration emphasized that being a minister is not just a role, but a calling to serve with love, dedication, and a heart centered on Christ.

✨ *“Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.”* (Psalm 40:8)

May they continue to be blessed and guided in their ministry. 💒

Padayon—Keep going
Pahuway—Take a break
Puhon—in God's perfect time

These three Cebuano expressions—Padayon, Pahuway, and Puhon—offer a simple way of looking at life that balances effort, rest, and trust. Each word carries a reminder that life does not have to be rushed or forced all the time, but lived with awareness of timing and limits.

Padayon means “keep going.” It encourages perseverance even when things are difficult or uncertain. When challenges arise or progress feels slow, it serves as a reminder to continue moving forward instead of giving up. It highlights the importance of steady effort and resilience in everyday life.

Pahuway means “take a break.” It reminds us that rest is necessary and should not be ignored. Taking time to pause helps the body recover, the mind reset, and emotions settle. Without rest, it becomes harder to continue effectively, so pahuway teaches the value of slowing down when needed.

Puhon means “in God’s perfect time.” It expresses patience and trust that things will happen when they are meant to. It helps ease frustration when plans are delayed or uncertain. Together, Padayon, Pahuway, and Puhon form a balanced approach to life—keep going, know when to rest, and trust the timing of what is to come.

KAPLAG, Viva Pit Señor!! ❤️💛❤️💛

On this day, April 28 in the year 1565, the image of the Santo Niño found.

“On Easter Sunday, April 28, 1565, Legazpi ordered the ships’ artillery to fire. The natives fled to the mountains. He landed in Cebu and found an empty burned town. Inside a poor nipa house, Juan Camus, a sailor of the fleet, found the statuette of the Santo Niño, theimage that arrived here with Magellan and was presented by Pigafetta to the Queen of cebu when she turned Christian. The finding of the Santo Niño, fired the Augustinians’ hope and courage in their mission of christianizing the Filipinos. Since then, they spread the devotion to the Santo Niño to various parts of the islands.” (Inauguration of the Augustinian Province of Sto. Niño de Cebu Philippines)

🐑✨Fourth Sunday of Easter | Good Shepherd Sunday & World Day of Prayer for Vocations

Today, we gather at Holy Innocents Parish to celebrate the loving guidance of Christ, our Good Shepherd, who calls each one of us by name and leads us to life.

Holy Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Franco Ian Balmadrid, Parish Priest, assisted by Rev. Deacon Alvin Madella.

📖 Gospel: John 10:1–10
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that He is the gate for the sheep—the way, the truth, and the life. Through Him, we find safety, purpose, and abundant life. As the Good Shepherd, He knows us personally and invites us to listen to His voice and follow Him faithfully.

🕊️ Homily:
The Good Shepherd calls each of us into a deeper relationship with Him. We are reminded that true fulfillment is found not in worldly things, but in listening to His voice and trusting His path. On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, we are invited to pray for those called to serve in the Church—priests, religious, and missionaries—so that they may courageously respond to God’s call and shepherd His people with love.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord Jesus, our Good Shepherd,
guide us always in Your ways.
Help us to hear Your voice clearly
and follow You with trust and courage.
Bless all those You have called to serve Your Church,
and inspire more hearts to respond generously to Your call.
May we all become instruments of Your love and care. Amen.

💐Feast Day of Santa Maria Cleofe/Jacobi
at Holy Innocents Parish

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Feast Day of Santa Maria Cleofe/Jacobi, with the Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Franco Ian T. Balmadrid.

Gospel Reading: John 6:52–59
In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims Himself as the Bread of Life, inviting us to partake in His Body and Blood so that we may have eternal life. It is a powerful reminder of the Holy Eucharist as the source and summit of our faith.

The homily reminds us of the deep mystery of the Eucharist—Jesus giving Himself fully for our salvation. Just as Santa Maria Cleofe/Jacobi remained faithful and close to Christ even in His suffering, we too are called to stay rooted in Him. Receiving the Body and Blood of Christ is not only an act of devotion but a commitment to live a life transformed by His love, mercy, and sacrifice.

Lord Jesus, Bread of Life,
nourish our souls with Your presence.
Strengthen our faith as we receive You in the Eucharist.
Like Santa Maria Cleofe/Jacobi,
may we remain faithful and steadfast in following You,
especially in times of trials and uncertainty.
Fill our hearts with Your love
so that we may share it with others.
Amen.🙏🙏🙏

Day 1️⃣ | Triduum Mass in honor of Sta. Maria Cleofe/Jacobi & 1st Wedding Anniversary of the 1st Mass Wedding Couples
📍 Holy Innocents Parish

The Holy Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Franco Ian T. Balmadrid, Parish Priest, bringing the community together in prayer, thanksgiving, and renewed faith.

📖 Readings Today: John 6:35–40
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst… For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life.”

Today’s Gospel reminds us that Jesus is the Bread of Life—the source of our strength and hope. Just as Sta. Maria Cleofe/Jacobi remained faithful to Christ, married couples are also called to nourish their relationship with the Lord. When Christ is at the center, love becomes enduring, self-giving, and life-giving.

Heavenly Father,
we thank You for the gift of faith and the example of Sta. Maria Cleofe/Jacobi. Bless all married couples celebrating their anniversary today—strengthen their love, deepen their understanding, and guide them always in Your grace. May their union be a reflection of Your everlasting love.
Amen. 🙏🙏

🕊️Third Sunday of Easter ✨
at Holy Innocents Parish, Holy Mass was presided by our Parish Priest,
Rev. Fr. Franco Ian T. Balmadrid

📖 Gospel: Luke 24: 13–45

Excerpt from the Homily:
The homily reminds us of the manifestation of Jesus, our journey with Him, and our deeper recognition of who He truly is.

Like Cleopas and his companion on the road to Emmaus, we too are travelers in this world. Along our journey, may we come to know God more deeply and allow His teachings to live within our hearts. May our eyes be opened to His presence in our daily lives, especially in moments we least expect.

Lord Jesus, walk with us as we journey through life. Open our hearts to recognize You in every moment—in joy and in trials, in the people we meet, and in Your Word.
Strengthen our faith, deepen our love, and guide us always in Your truth. Amen. 🙏🙏🙏

💙 Happy Solo Parents Day!
We honor and celebrate all solo parents for their strength, sacrifices, and unconditional love. May God continue to bless and guide you.
