Isang masigasig na miyembro ng CATHOLIC FAITH DEFENDERS ANTIPOLO CHAPTER ang masigasig na ipinaliwanag ang mga doktrina at pananampalatayang katoliko sa kanyang mga kasamahan sa barko na naglilibot sa iba't ibang panig ng mundo.
Hindi naging hadlang ang malayo sa Lupang tinubuan at maalon na panahon sa gitna ng karagatan upang ITANYAG ni kapatid na Arnel ang mga Banal na doktrina nang Inang Simbahang KATOLIKA na itinatag ng ating Panginoong Hesukristo( Mateo 16:18-19)

Naging paksa ni kapatid na Arnel sa kanyang mga bayani at masisipag na kasama sa serbisyo ang mga aral tungkol sa Banal na Rosaryo, pagdiriwang ng pasko at iba pang mga paksa. Gamit ang Banal na Bibliya, Katesismo ng Simbahan at iba pang mga mapagkakatiwalaang referensya ay nag dulot ng galak at muling pagsigla ng pananampalataya ang isinagawang Catholic Apologetics Study ni kapatid na Arnel (miyembro ng CATHOLIC FAITH DEFENDERS ANTIPOLO).
Mula ng kanilang simulan ang gawain ito ay parami ng parami na sa kanyang mga kasama ang kusang loob na nag iimbita upang patuloy nilang tuparin ang gawaing pananampalataya Lalo na sa oras na tapos na ang kanilang mga gawain sa barko.
Kami ay lubos na nagpapa-salamat sa patuloy na paglilingkod sa Simbahan, isang malaking inspirasyon para sa amin ito sa pagpapatuloy ng Misyon at laging kasama sa aming panalangin ang mapayapa at ligtas na paglalakbay para sa ating mga kababayan na nasa tawid dagat, sa gabay at panalangin ng Mahal na birheng ng Kapayapaan at Mabuting paglalakbay, Birhen ng Antipolo.

Most Holy Name of Jesus

This feast is celebrated as an optional memorial by the Church on January 3rd of every year. The name 'Jesus' is a name selected by God for his own Son and made known to the Holy Mother Mary through the Archangel Gabriel. In the Gospel of Luke (1:26-38) when the Archangel Gabriel blessed Holy Mary, she was perplexed by the announcement. Then the Archangel told the Holy Mary 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor in God's sight. Look you-you will conceive and bear a son and you must call Him by the name Jesus'. Therefore the name Jesus is a divine name selected by God and the name requires adoration. St. Paul says in the epistle to Philippians 2:10 'That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth and under the earth'. The importance of the name Jesus can be seen by the announcement of Jesus Christ ( Gospel of John 16:23) 'If you ask the Father anything in my name, He will give it to you' which clearly shows that we can get what we ask in our prayers from the God, only if we asks in the name of Jesus Christ. In our Catholic Liturgy, the church concludes all the prayers by the words 'Through our Lord Jesus Christ'. In the early Christianity the name of Jesus was shortened by the inscriptions as 'IH' for Jesus and 'XP' for Christos (Christ) and these are Greek monograms. The monogram 'IHS' surrounded by rays became the accepted iconographical characteristic of St. Bernardine of Siena, who popularized the devotion of the Holy Name of Jesus. For popularizing the devotion of the Holy Name of Jesus, he was accused of heresy and summoned to Rome to clarify his stand. But Pope Martin-V found St. Bernardine innocent and permitted the worship of the name of Jesus. This monogram is adopted by St. Ignatius of Loyola in his seal as General of the Society of Jesus. This feast is meant to impress on us Christians the dignity of the Holy Name.

When there was a plague in Lisbon in 1432, the victims who recited the Holy Name of Jesus as advised by the bishop were cured from the disease.

One of the Counts under King Genseric of the Goths, namely Armogasto got converted to Catholic faith from A***n Christian Faith. The king ordered the Count to reconvert to A***n Christianity but the Count refused sternly. Then the Count Armogasto was tied with very strong cords to torture and kill him. The Count recited the Holy Name of Jesus repeatedly and the cords snapped like spider webs and fell at his feet.

Once in Kurdistan there lived a slave Christina. One day a mother brought a child afflicted with a disease to the house of Christina and asked her whether she knew any remedy for the disease. Christina looked at the child and recited the name 'Jesus, Jesus' and so on. The dying child was instantly cured. On knowing this incident, the wife of Emperor Constantine who was also afflicted with some disease called Christina and requested her to give the religious treatment of reciting the Holy Name of Jesus. Christina recited the Name of Jesus repeatedly and the Queen was cured.

No other name except the name 'Jesus' is given by God for the salvation of the mankind.

Mary, Mother of God

Mary the mother of God is venerated in a special way, as'Hyperdulia', the highest of the God's creatures. She is the first lady on earth personally blessed by God's Arch Angel Gabriel. Elizabeth, the mother of St. John the Baptist acknowledged Mary as the'Mother of God'. The first miracle performed by Jesus at a wedding in Cana was at the request and instigation of Mother Mary. Mother Mary ascended to heaven with body and soul and is now with God and Jesus.
'O, Immaculate heart of Mary, I surrender myself and my family before with all humility'

Laudetur Iesus Christus!

A year ago, another Catholic Faith Defenders Chapter was established in the province of Camarines Norte in the town called Vinzons. To celebrate our founding anniversary, we will be having a set of events to be announced later.

May the good Lord bless and guide His servants. May we continue to defend the Catholic Faith with meekness and fear.

Prayer to your GUARDIAN ANGELS

HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY .. (in capital letters are the PRAYERS)

Start by making the Sign of the Cross:
IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN.

Then recite the APOSTLE'S CREED:

I BELIEVE IN GOD, THE FATHER ALMIGHTY,
CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH AND IN JESUS CHRIST,
HIS ONLY SON OUR LORD, WHO WAS CONCEIVED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, BORN OF THE VIRGIN MARY, SUFFERED UNDER PONTIUS PILATE, WAS CRUCIFIED, DIED AND WAS BURIED.
HE DESCENDED INTO HELL, THE THIRD DAY HE ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD; HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN AND SITS AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, THE FATHER ALMIGHTY. FROM THENCE HE SHALL COME TO JUDE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD.

TO THEE DO WE SEND UP OUR SIGHS, MOURNING AND WEEPING IN THIS VALLEY OF TEARS. TURN THEN, MOST GRACIOUS ADVOCATE, THINE EYES OF MERCY TOWARD US, AND AFTER THIS OUR EXILE SHOW US THE BLESSED FRUIT OF THY WOMB, JESUS. O CLEMENT, O LOVING, O SWEET VIRGIN MARY.

PRAY FOR US O HOLY MOTHER OF GOD.
(Response) --- THAT WE MAY BE MADE WORTHY OF THE PROMISES OF CHRIST.
