Today, August 21, 2026, we celebrate Major Elemia Gascon de Veraโ€™s 60th Birthday and Retirement Salute, former Corps Officer of Piaz Corps.

We are truly grateful and blessed to have witnessed and been inspired by your remarkable journey of 33 years and 3 months of faithful service in The Salvation Army Philippines.

On March 1, 15, and 29, our Home Company and Sunday School Fun Day continued in different zones, bringing Bible lessons and fellowship closer to the children and families.

Among the stories shared were Job, Tungib ng Leon, and Si Pedro ay Naglakad sa Tubig, each carrying lessons on faith, courage, and trusting God.

On March 6, 2026, the Women's Ministries of Piaz Corps gathered for the World Day of Prayer, joining women around the world in prayer for Nigeria, guided by Matthew 11:28โ€“30.

The gathering featured inspiring stories shared by the women, reflecting on different burdens faced by individuals and communities, as well as moments of worship through songs and choruses. The stories and reflections reminded everyone that amidst life's burdens, God offers rest, strength, and hope through His grace and the support of a caring community.

Despite the scheduled power interruptions earlier this Sunday, our corps continued to gather for worship and service, grateful for the privilege to serve God.

CSM Ariel Carbonell reminded us that being an Ambassador of Christ is not simply a role, but a lifelong commitment and identity as Christians. Drawing from Acts 26:16โ€“18, he shared three important points:

โ€ข Maghatid ng Mabuting Balita
โ€ข Maging Huwaran
โ€ข Magturo ng Kabanalan

The message was further supported by 2 Timothy 1:13, 1 Peter 1:15โ€“16, and 1 Timothy 4:12, reminding us to remain faithful in our words, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

On March 1, 2026, new Senior Soldiers and Young People were recognized during the service. The occasion also marked the renewal of commitment of our Local Officers as they continued their responsibilities in serving the corps.

Our Home Company ministry continued its visits to different zones throughout February. Among the lessons shared were Ang Lumulutang na Palakol, the story of King Josiah, and the story of Esther. These gatherings provided opportunities for the young people to learn from God's Word and share in fellowship.

As we welcomed 2026, our Home Company ministry continued as the young people visited different homes and zones, strengthening fellowship and sharing God's Word.

On January 25, 2026, we were also delighted to welcome visitors from Papua New Guinea, who joined our Sunday School Fun Day. They experienced traditional Filipino games, including Hampas-Palayok and Pabitin, making the day a memorable time of fellowship and cultural exchange.
